This has nothing to do with what I think or what the unsaved person/unbeliever did... the thread is about making a mistake by telling the unsaved person /unbeliever to stop sinning. Which is what Jesus did...

The thread is about telling people to “stop sinning” in order to BE SAVED! We are not saved by “ stopping”—- we are saved by BELIEVING.....Believing the Gospel Found In 1Cor15:1-4.....

Of course Jesus told people to abandon their sins —- it will give you a life of blessings instead of a life of curses.....it won’t get you saved....Faith in the One that “said” to stop sinning is how one gets saved....Faith in His death, burial and resurrection ....Plus Nothing.

But that is after they were forgiven. Jesus must have sensed repentance, or He would not have said that. If He just said that to them, it would be unfair to all others who have not repented.
You are making up things. There is no mention of Jesus sensing repentance... He just said it to them because they showed faith...Because you lack understanding you accuse Jesus of being unfair if he did not do something your way. How does that make any sense? People choose to sin, therefore they can choose not to sin.

These are your words sir...
It is a mistake to tell a man devoid of the Holy Spirit ( the Unsaved Man, in other words ) to “stop sinning”.
Those words assume that you only tell people who have the HS and are not sinning to stop sinning.

Of course Jesus told people to abandon their sins —- it will give you a life of blessings instead of a life of curses.....it won’t get you saved....Faith in the One that “said” to stop sinning is how one gets saved....Faith in His death, burial and resurrection ....Plus Nothing.
The point is he said it to people who were not saved, and neither did they have the HS. Jesus tells people to stop sinning and you are saying it is a mistake to tell people to stop sinning. That is what I am seeing here. We tell people who sin to stop sinning. If they want to stop, they will ask... How do I do that? Then you tell them to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus.

I am making a point....the point is that nobody gets saved by “ stopping”....we get Saved by “Believing”...no man can “ stop sinning” and even if they did , it would have no bearing on their Salvation....people today, just like the people of Bible Days, all got saved in the same manner— going all the way back to Adam....They all put their Trust in the Shed Blood Of an Innocent....The ancients relied on the Shed Blood Of Innocent sheep , goats, etc. for the forgiveness of their sins , and the most ancient man of all — Adam —- got saved because he put his Faith in the Shed Blood Of an Innocent animal that God slayed for him....the animal shedding his innocent blood was a picture of what would come 4000 years later...
We today rely upon , or Trust in , the Shed Blood Of an Innocent for our forgiveness of sins and Salvation ....his name was Jesus ....

is it your contention that one does not have to stop sinning but can be saved by just believing?
....we get Saved by “Believing”...no man can “ stop sinning” and even if they did , it would have no bearing on their Salvation....
2 Corinthians 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

If they were saved by faith in the blood of sheep, goats etc, then there was no need for Jesus... The blood of bulls or goats did not take away sins...
Hebrews 10:4
For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

You still have to stop sinning bro...

We must repent and turn from sin.... repent with a godly sorrow means to see ourselves as He sees us,full of filth and corruption.

It's a 180 of heart and mind and we must begin to walk his way as defined in scripture.
We cannot buy nor work our way into heaven for it is by his righteousness that we put on, to have access to the Father.

We either do the accepting or rejecting of this wonderful gift and the Holy Spirit will help us be transformed into the likeness of the Son.
The Holy Spirit will convict and reveal unto us the error of our walk and help us be overcomers, for we cannot do it in and of ourselves.

It takes power, prayer, study of the word and an obedient surrendered life to be his disciple.

If allowed sin will retake the person captive which is why Jesus is our advocate, for when we sin, repent and confess he removes the sin.

It is a life long process to walk in the word and righteousness. There is NO ONE AND DONE WITH GOD !!!!!!

Precious friend, is it your Contention then, that we are saved by
BOTH "believing," AND By "stopping ALL sinning"?

GRACE And Peace...
Where did I write anything to give you that impression? Is your bible missing pages?
Ephesians 2:8
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
