Theses words are often overlooked when reading scriptures. But they make a dividing line between what was and what has replaced it.

In Romans they are used 7 times.
In 1 Col 6 times.
In 2 Cor, 4 times.
In Gal. 1 time.
In Eph. 3 times.
In Col. 2 times.
In Th. 1 time.
In Ph. 1 time.
In Heb. 5 times.

Paul has used them 30 times so they must mean something changed.

or that something should change at least, yeh.
i remember doing a study like this, interesting how Paul's "but now's" (nun) compare with so many believers' conceptions of an "afterlife."
