1.) When you deal with heretics, and ive dealt with perhaps thousands by now.........you run into the same types..

One of these "types"........is this one.

= "The Gospel that Jesus taught"........is what they proclaim.

See that?
And That is nonsense.......because Jesus never taught THE Gospel until He taught it to PAUL, and that happened after Jesus was back in Heaven.
IN Fact, the idea, the concept, the reality of THE "Gospel".. was not known, until Jesus died on The Cross, to create it.
Understand?
And Jesus called Paul to deliver THE GOSPEL to us all, ..,,, and Paul teaches that any other Gospel, then His, is "cursed", as is the person who is teaching Universalism, or any other false Gospel, such as.. "mary is helping Jesus bring souls into heaven"

= Galatians 1:8

So, when you hear someone talking about "Jesus's Gospel"......then you are dealing with someone who does not yet understand something, that i'll show you now., regarding
THE Gospel.

Its this....

2.) When Jesus was teaching and preaching......>He was Talking to the JEWS the "house of Israel".. as He was sent only to the Jews....and so, what could He NOT tell them about, His entire earthly ministry?
Jesus could not tell them about the CROSS.......and that is because He had not died on The Cross during His eartly ministry to the Jews.......so, there was no GOSPEL, that is "Christ Crucified" that He could teach them, as He hadn't died on The Cross yet.......which created The Gospel that is "Paul's"/

Now notice........
And after Jesus was resurrected, He never went back to the Jews.....as a Minister....>>He only stayed with His remaining apostles and disciples until His ascension back to GLORY.
So, even AFTER Jesus died ON THE CROSS to create the Gospel.....>He never went back to the Jews, to tell them.

What did He do instead. ???
He asended to Heaven, and called PAUL the Apostle to bring "THE Gospel" to the world., initially.
Now WE are to do it.

There is no "Gospel", until Jesus died on The Cross.

The Gospel is everlasting. It was in existence before the World Was created. The Gospel is the truth of the character of God; it was exemplified in Jesus.

So, when you read where some "bible noob" who is saved 40 yrs.......and still knows nothing about SALVATION< and begins to chatter about "Jesus's Gospel" then you know you've found someone to avoid, as they are clueless, regarding "The Gospel".
They do not understand God's Salvation. They do not understand that "the Gospel" we are to preach and teach and share, came from Paul.

Make certain you notice them, as they are a theological mess, and they infect Forums, ... and you dont want them to turn you into the same.
So how do you account for those verses which talk about Jesus preaching the gospel, long before He met Saul on the road to Damascus? Here are some examples:

“And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.” (Mt 4:23 NKJV)

““The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed;” (Lu 4:18 NKJV)

“Now it happened on one of those days, as He taught the people in the temple and preached the gospel, [that] the chief priests and the scribes, together with the elders, confronted [Him]” (Lu 20:1 NKJV)

"Gospel" means "good news." The same Greek word is translated "good tidings," in the words of the angel to the Bethlehem shepherds when Jesus was born:

“Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.” (Lu 2:10 NKJV)

The Gospel was in God's Foreknowledge, always.
However, until Jesus actually was crucified, it had not become Literal.
So, the Gospel IS Christ on The Cross, and this had to Occur before it was in existence , literally.

Think of it like this...

In God's Foreknowledge.......and that means, that God knows all things that are going to happen NEXT.........the Tribulation and the Millennial Reign, are known by God, but they are not in existence yet......they are not here yet.

The Holy Bible is God's Foreknowledge revealed.

"Gospel" means "good news." The same Greek word is translated "good tidings," in the words of the angel to the Bethlehem shepherds when Jesus was born:

There is the Good news that Jesus has brought down the Kingdom of God, .........and then there is the Gospel of "Christ Crucified", that is Paul's Gospel that is the good news for every sinner.

“Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.” (Lu 2:10 NKJV)

That is not Jesus dying on the Cross @David Lamb . that is just the announcing of Christ being born.... .so that is not the Gospel that Paul preaches, as Paul's Gosple is "Christ Crucified"., and He obviously was not in the Crib, when He was born.

So what gospel did Jesus preach, in those verses I quoted in Post 3? What "good tidings" (same Greek word as translated elsewhere as "gospel") did the angel proclaim to the shepherds? (Sorry, our posts crossed. I see that you believe there are two gospels, and that is how you explain how Jesus could preach a gospel before Calvary).

As my Thread stated.

When Christ has not died on The Cross, there is no Gospel.
This is because The Cross of Christ began the Church, and began the New Covenant, and the New Testament.

Paul understood that Jesus had talked about "the Gospel of the Kingdom", and it will be preached in the Trib.
Paul knew about it......yet He wrote that any other Gospel then HIS.... if you preach or teach it, is "CURSED", even if an angel does it or a "christian".

Galatians 1:8

So why is that?

Its because, the church age, is the "time of the Gentiles".......and there is only one Gospel, during this "time"., and its "Paul's Gospel"., and Paul's Gospel is "The preaching of THe Cross", and Jesus never preached that Gospel, to the Jews, during His ministry as He hadn't died on The Cross yet, so that Gospel was not available yet.
Jesus had to die on The Cross, to create it., and its Paul's Gospel.

Jesus spoke this to the 10 while Paul was still a Pharisee..
Sounds like the gospel to me.
Or do you deny repentance?
Paul didn't.
Luke 24:45-53

"Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, 46and He said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ would suffer and rise again from the dead the third day, 47and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. 48“You are witnesses of these things. 49“And behold, I am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”
50And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. 51While He was blessing them, He parted from them and was carried up into heaven. 52And they, after worshiping Him, returned to Jerusalem with great joy, 53and were continually in the temple praising God."

Notice that Jesus is explaining this only the Apostles and Disciples... After He has died on The Cross.
So, as i stated, when Jesus was in his earthly Ministry, He never told a JEW, anything about The Cross, as He had not died on it yet.

Now, there is more to this then Jesus explained to them......and He didnt tell them while He was still on earth, because as He told them.....>>"there are many things i would tell you, but you can't receive them now'.
So, He Called PAUL to tell them, and that is why Paul wrote all the Church Doctrine, and most of the NT Epistles.

That is simply is not true. The apostles were given the gospel before PAUL. Paul was given it and sent to the gentiles, but the apostles had been preaching it to the Jews already. Luke 24:45-53 (above) Paul was still a pharisee then.
There is only ONE gospel for both Jew first and then the Greek.
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
Refinements were clarified along the way, as they were all adjusting to a dramatic change from Judaism.

The context of my Thread is "Paul's Gospel".

And i stated that Jesus never spoke of this Gospel, during His ministry to the Jews, and that is a fact.
This is my Thread's point. Its that Jesus never shared THE GOSPEL, with any hearer, during His MINISTRY to the JEWS.

Did Jesus help the remaining Apostles who remained, to understand the Cross.........yes, because they had no idea what it meant.
But he never told them anything about it during His earthly ministry to the Jews.
Did they understand what the resurrected Christ was sharing with them about The Cross?
Not completely, until Paul was called.

So, "THE GOSPEL", that is Paul's Gospel, was never taught by JESUS during His earthly ministry to the Jews.
This means there is no "Gospel of Jesus", or "Jesus's Gospel", while he was ON THE EARTH, prior to the Crucifixion.
This Gospel, "the preaching of the Cross"... is Paul's Gospel, and he said this, 3x........which is why he wrote : Galatians 1:8

I will give you that Paul helped them to understand it better. He was key in acts 15 too. Can you imagine going from Judaism to Christianity? I can relate to that somewhat given my background. It is not easy & takes time to sort each thing out. The Holy Spirit helps us of course, but there are places left blurry that become clearer with time. Pentecost come and gone and still questioning circumcism and foods and holidays? YES! that's how it was.. and still is today. We all are growing. They were humans just as we are.
But my point was to say Jesus gave the gospel to Paul first isn't accurate. Do you see that now? Agree?

Your wrong when you state there was no Gospel until Jesus taught it to the Pharisee.

If we recall what Jesus judged Pharisees to be,and Saul certainly fit that bill, your claim is even more unbelievable. As it should be.

Lets agree that Paul's Gospel is The Gospel., and He stated it is "MY Gospel".. 3x.
And lets agree that Jesus never taught this Gospel, during His ministry to the Jews.., (House of Israel).. while he was alive.
So, iJesus told the remaining apostles Paul's Gospel, after Jesus rose from the Dead... and they sort of understood it, but not really..
Later they did., by Acts 16, which is 16 yrs after Jesus is back in Heaven.

My Thread was written to simply address a false and common heretical teaching, that "The Gospel of Jesus"......is what He was preaching, and its the "same as Paul's".'
And of course that can't be true, as Jesus never "preached" "Christ Crucified" to Jews, while He was alive, during His ministry, as He had not died on it yet... and after He did, He never went back to them.
