Well that is a good question?
How do people learn to sin?
Parents are part of it....I agree.
Garbage in....garbage out....product of your environment?
But then society is there to teach them every evil.
The media is there in every form....TV shows, commercials and movies, radio, magazines, newspapers...the News itself.....we are bombarded from every direction with the message...."Evil is good...Evil is smart"

Parents and children in church.....children attending Christian schools.
Nothing is perfect, but sometimes your choices matter.
Yes this is why we are baptized into the Lord's death and receive the Holy Spirit, to guide us when we get lost in this world. It is very important and to raise children by taking them to church to learn about God and his directives. Satan has very powerful temptations and tries at every turn to direct us to do evil. And hopefully, for the baptized and confirmed people, the Lord is there to counter Satan.

Education is about defining "good" and "evil". All children know is that they want something. And that is what "original sin" is all about.
Well I know perfectly healthy and sharing children. Raised in church atmospheres and I'm sure many that aren't Christian. Just wanting something isn't evil. Some people learn that what they want isn't good sometimes and deny those desires. There are plenty of good people out there that have been trained by their parents to be good. And many of them haven't even been baptized and confirmed.

Notice that children have to be trained to deny themselves. If left to themselves, or if there are no negative consequences, what will they choose?

I believe sin is taught by parents, family and other individuals that people encounter. Children are especially susceptible to being trained to do good or evil. I don't believe in original sin. I think that is a Catholic belief that I don't agree with, and there are a few of those beliefs that I don't agree with in the Catholic teachings.
There are those who believe that "original sin" was sex....which is puzzling because God told the first humans to "be fruitful and become many and fill the earth" BEFORE they ate of the fruit......How could original sin be sex if they were supposed to have children....?

Original sin was disobedience, which unleashed the death penalty on all humans descended from Adam. (Rom 5:12)

Romans 5:14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come.

What this says to me is that not all mankind sinned like Adam. So then thru Adam came the fall, but not to all.

Thoughts?
There is no original sin

Deuteronomy 24:16
The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.

Without the spirit - we are nothing more than self aware beasts. We imprint on the fleshly progenitor and receive little or no input from the Creator - the tree of life is denied to Adam and children. That is their inheritance sin is man's fleshly nature in the eyes of God while the proper spirit is Grace. Jesus Christ the teacher of Goodness, restores us back to God and with his Advocacy returns our access to the tree of life (an eternity of healing)
