1. You keeping looking like that and your face will freeze that way.
2. Do not swallow gum, it will harden to cement in your stomach.
3. Do not swallow the seeds in fruit or you'll grow a tree inside yourself.
4. If food hits the ground pick it up by 30 seconds, blow on it & eat it, it's ok.
5.Clean your plate or it's your breakfast tomorrow.

What I find funny is how parents SEEM to think we are not listening or even ourselves shrug it off but then...........

Lol , I Am a southerner too, just In a different country. Now Pearl is a Northerner - she would probably have slightly different saying to me !!
Yep , and also my daughter discovered the same thing as she brought up her daughter.
Not quite sure it will happen with my grand daughter and her children as the kids today seem to talk a completely different language !!

My grandma used to tell me that I read too much and should be knitting socks for soldiers as she did as a child. Sadly those were the days when family history wasn't shared with children so i know very little about my parents and their families.
