To answer your question, yes, everyone is a sinner who needs Jesus' sacrifice to pay for their law-breaking - breaking the law is a crime, thus one who breaks the law is a criminal. Me, you, Trump, those other world leaders, everyone else here reading this - all guilty as charged. Otherwise, you don't believe you are a sinner/law-breaker (criminal) to the law set forth by God-the-Father, and then, what do you need God-the-Son for?

Sins are the clauses of the law (the only law that matters, not human's laws). This is basic Christianity 101, and the reason why following sinful/criminal humans is not good, as they cannot take away your guilty actions as only Jesus can.

Now if you want to get pedantic and state that only "crime" is breaking of human-law, and "sin" is reserved for breaking of God's law, I'd say only God's law matters, not human laws.
