How does this negate Trump's pro-life accomplishments as President?????????????????????????????????

It doesn't.
Why all the question marks? One is enough, honest.

It just goes to show he'll take any position if he thinks it will help him get what he wants. Stop trying to portray him as a saint.

Did you know the number of abortions went down under Obama? That was because we had policies that were family friendly. It is continuing to go down; but that's not because laws are being passed. No, the number of pregnancies has declined.

LOL, stop exaggerating. I've never portrayed Trump as a saint. A saint he has NEVER been!

Or perhaps the reporting changed?? (There, only 2 question marks. :))

How are much higher taxes family friendly, eh? Middle class families were hardly surviving Obama's taxes. On a practical level, I noticed a higher rate of inflation under Obama. How did I see this? The packaging on many items I purchased regularly kept shrinking. IOW, I paid the same amount of money for less product.... I haven't noticed this nearly as much under Trump if at all.

Let's be honest. The rich got the biggest tax cuts; and the spending got bigger. We are now running a record deficit and the national debt is also at a record level. Another term of this and we'll be a banana republic.

You say all of this, but you haven't commented on Hillary's support of partial-birth abortion. I'm curious to know what you think about it.

I'm reposting this for you from the previous page.

Disclaimer: The following contains a gruesome description of partial-birth abortion.

Evidently, Hillary supported a "woman's right to choose" to have her baby partially delivered live, only to have the developed baby's brain shredded by a pair of scissors.

POSTED BY LIFE DYNAMICS ON JULY 10, 2015

2016 Democrat presidential hopeful, Hillary Rodham Clinton is so extreme on abortion that she once defended the horrific partial birth abortion procedure.

In 2003, a law to ban Partial Birth Abortion came before the US Senate, and then Senator Hillary Clinton defended the gruesome late term procedure, opposed by a majority of American people.

The March 12, 2003 exchange between Senators Rick Santorum and Hillary Clinton was captured by CSPAN.

In the procedure, an almost fully developed unborn baby is delivered from it’s mother, feet first, with only the head remaining inside the birth canal. The abortionist then punctures the child in the back of the neck with a pair of sharp scissors. The abortion doctor then sucks out the baby’s brain tissue to collapse the skull and deliver a dead baby.

A shocking description of partial birth abortion was captured by Life Dynamics after the pro-life group obtained tapes from a 1992 National Abortion Federation (NAF) conference describing the procedure.

In a 2003 Life Talk show, president Mark Crutcher played horrific audio of abortionist Martin Haskell describing the procedure to NAF members while showing it to the group on screen....

During the 2003 debate Hillary Clinton suggested that outlawing the horrific procedure was a “slippery slop.”

Asked by Senator Santorum, “What is your definition of extreme Mrs. Clinton?

Clinton replied, “What I do think is extreme is making a decision in this body to outlaw a medical procedure that may or may not be required.”

Why don't you knock off talking about Hillary Clinton? She's disgusting as far as I'm concerned; but it's old news.

It may not be old news. I've heard inklings that she may run again, even recently.
She's probably thinking about it, but she doesn't stand a chance. She'll probably be daydreaming about the rest of her life; but she's not relevant.

I'm wondering how the race for governor will go in Louisiana. Trump's been campaigning there for the Republican. The guy he campaigned for in Kentucky lost. The "angry majority" that Trump said supports him must not have shown up to vote there. The last I knew, the Democrat was ahead of the Republican by 2% in Louisiana.

Correct. So here's a warning to those who are committed to the destruction of America.

Ruling Class, Here’s Your Warning
By Eric Georgatos

“Sundance” at the popular website “Conservative Treehouse” has posited that the ruling class plan that Americans are about to watch unfold inside the Beltway basically involves a three-step process: (1) the House votes for impeachment, (2) the Senate holds a six toeight-week trial and votes to convict and remove the President, and (3) Vice President Pence becomes President, and Nikki Haley, fresh off a scripted book tour plan to increase her visibility and acceptability, gets the appointment to serve as vice president.

The troublesome Trump will be done away with, order will be restored, and the Vindmans of D.C. can resume their rightful place as the determiners of American government policy, foreign and domestic. Enough ‘Republicans’ will be bought off by Pence’s seeming conservatism and Haley’s professed loyalty to Trump (at least as compared to John Kelly and Rex Tillerson) to quell any resistance from the knuckle-dragging far right.

Sundance has a pretty good record of reading the political tea leaves in this coup era, so it’s pretty jolting to get his read in such explicit terms.
If Sundance is right as to the plan, we’d like to interject right now a blunt warning to the ruling class elite from both parties who might lend their support, or withhold their resistance, to such a plan: borrowing from the truly impactful words once uttered by Bush 41 – “this will not stand.”

The ruling class has swallowed the lies that the Beltway and its Pravda media and its Big Tech allies control the news cycle; that Lawfare sophists control the definition of fairness, due process, and justice; that a controlling majority of Americans think history began the day before yesterday, and accordingly will accept their plan with a shrug of the shoulders and go back to their meaningless, uninspired, disengaged lives. Sure, a few might feel more than a shrug of the shoulders, and some may cling to their guns and Bibles and offer those silly ‘thoughts and prayers’, but in the end, they can be counted on to move on.

Ain’t gonna happen.

We’ve previously chronicled the accumulating resentments from the Obama regime that elected Donald Trump to the Presidency. The fire stoked by those resentments has not subsided, and Coup #1, the Russia Collusion fraud, and Coup #2, the Ciaramella/Pajama Boy whistleblower fraud, have thrown the highest-octane gasoline imaginable on that fire. The ruling class has no idea how hot and nationwide that fire is.

Adam Schiff apparently has enough Pravda sycophants around him to make him think his orchestrated show trial is winning hearts and minds across the country. He is out of his mind.

217244_5_.png

Secret testimony, selective leaking, manipulatively edited transcripts, posturing about the nonexistent sacredness of whistleblower anonymity (after an Obama administration that terrorized whistleblowers), and all the while whistling past the manifest corruption of the Biden family as if Americans can’t see it -- Schiff’s fraud has exceeded the capacity of the English language to convey its depravity and moral bankruptcy. “Disgusting, disgraceful, egregious, unconscionable, abominable” -- these are level 2 or 3 words for a level 10 travesty.

So what will it mean to say “this will not stand”?

There’s a spirit and power in American ideals that cannot long be mocked by men and women, no matter how credentialed or clever they might be.

And here’s a word -- which seems to be to the ruling class like garlic to a vampire -- that explains the spirit and power of these ideals: they are divine. You may fight against them if you want, and your fight may cause catastrophe for a while, but you will not win. Slavery couldn’t possibly be reconciled with American ideals, and America’s first Civil War stands as the example of what happens when the ruling classes try to deny or sidestep or outrun or overrule these divine ideals.

We most often speak of these ideals in the vernacular of the Declaration of Independence -- all men (and women) created equal; all endowed by their Creator with unalienable rights, including the rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. But here’s a formulation of one of those divine ideals in different terms: it is the right of we the people to ‘self-government under God.

The individual, as Ayn Rand put it, is the smallest minority on earth, and in America, the individual is sovereign, free. The government doesn’t exist to rule him; he governs himself, and the government’s job is to protect his right to do so.

He doesn’t stand for a tyrannical mob telling him what he can do with his life, how much of what he earns he can keep, what his carbon footprint can be, what his food and drink shall be, what temperature his thermostat can be set to, what and where and from whom he shall obtain healthcare. He owes faithfulness and obedience to the God of the Bible, to live as best he can in accord with the ideal of loving his neighbor as himself, but he doesn’t need legislators to tell him how to do that.

And he sure as hell doesn’t stand still to have King George in the 1700s or the Deep State in the 2000s tell him who the President of the United States of America can or cannot be.

Most Americans know the nation as they have understood it is fundamentally at risk in 2019. They are smarter than the ruling class believes; they know no matter how loudly Pravda screams to the contrary, this war in 2019 is not about the icky personality of Donald Trump. It’s about the future of a divinely inspired idea called America. Taking down Trump is a proxy for taking down America; it’s about taking down the idea of individual freedom and self-government; ultimately, it’s about taking down the idea of God.

Ain’t gonna happen.

Ruling class, you’ve been warned.

Very eloquent, indeed! The following is from the American Thinker article above:

The individual, as Ayn Rand put it, is the smallest minority on earth, and in America, the individual is sovereign, free. Unfortunately, I don't think this spirit will hold up in the trials coming to this nation and the world. As we have seen in the Communist nations, when people are hungry enough, most will agree to just about anything.

Of course, the Elect will stand strong by the grace of God alone. All others will take the mark of the beast in order to survive, but in doing so, they will sign away their eternity.

I dont think so. I see his point. And I agree. Like I said elsewhere, Trump is collateral damage...if it weren't Trump, it would be someone else. The target in this culture and political conflict is not Trump per se, but the American political system. Republicanism. Protestantism. Free state. Free church. And the enemy is Rome. And Rome has many allies, and they are not always so easy to discern. I am finding that the opposition to Trump on this forum is becoming delineated along Catholic Protestant lines. Coincidence? Maybe. What I do know is that the American republic had never been seen as a nation that Catholicism could accept as an ally or friend...until Reagan. The founding fathers knew the threat of Rome against the "experiment", and made there stance clear in the declaration of indépendance. That declaration of independence had been seen traditionally as a declaration of separateness from Britain...And rightly so...But it was every but as much a separation from the papacy. People forget that. They have also forgotten the often expressed animosity against the constitution and the bill of rights by Catholic media over the last two centuries.
The puzzle I am facing and still to decide on is Trumps part in all of this. There are powers that be who are manipulating the current conflict to their advantage, and the left right, democrat republican, liberal conservative socialist divide is but a front to being about a synthesis from the antithesis thesis construct that rages through our media and in the political battles that occupy so much of our attention. When everyone gets sick and tired of the conflict...when the pain of division exceeds the pain of unity, then this man is ready to step into the breech and unite all.....

And I'd the above scenario plays out that Enoch posted, then Pence could be just the man to bring it about. Trump being merely an interim conduit to a Catholic president who would never have attained the position on his own. Just thinking out loud.

Hmmm, did you miss the memo explaining that some of the video footage about kids in cages on the border was actually from the Obama era?

It wasn't. No one so far, has been able to show that any child held for immigration reasons during the Obama era was forced to sleep on concrete, denied blankets, soap, or toothbrushes. Feel free to document otherwise. Checkable sources will be required. As you have seen, Trump argues that blankets, soap, and toothbrushes are not necessary for children in our custody. The video of a Trump official explaining why children in our custody don't need those things was enlightening.

That's how Trump regards children.

This is what I was talking about:

PHOTOS: Obama Used Same So-Called ‘Cages’ to Detain Child Border Crossers

The so-called “cages” being used by federal immigration officials to detain child border crossers in detention facilities are the same barriers that were used by former President Obama’s administration.

A series of rare photos taken from inside detention facilities where mostly Central American minors were held in detention under the Obama administration in 2014 reveals that detention of border crossers has largely remained the same under Trump as it was under the previous administration.

Aaand so ends the world news, folks...

Well some thought the world was going to end when Obama was president, some thought he would somehow illegally hold his position in office and would be America's last ever president. ;)

And I'd the above scenario plays out that Enoch posted, then Pence could be just the man to bring it about. Trump being merely an interim conduit to a Catholic president who would never have attained the position on his own. Just thinking out loud.
I think your political analysis is being colored by your religious predilections.

If you think Mike Pence is a Catholic, what can I say? He calls himself a "born again, evangelical Catholic," whatever that is. As governor, he had a very unpleasant run in with Catholic Charities and the Archbishop of Indianapolis. He may have fewer moral scruples than Trump what I can see. Again as governor, he signed anti-gay legislation to appeal to the religious constituents; but when several big companies said they'd boycott Indiana, he changed his mind.

As for the American political system, I'm not too worried. I'm more worried by the size of the national deficit and the ballooning national debt. Who is going to pay off that debt, and what will the interest rate be? If the interest rate goes up, that would further cripple the economy.

Add to that the overdue "correction" in the stock market. It could be more than a mere correction. It could be a crash worse than the one in 2008. From what I can see, it keeps going up mostly for two reasons. First, interest rates are so low, bonds have no appeal. If interest rates went up, investors easily could start pulling out of the stock market. Secondly, stocks are overvalued, and much of that is based on shoddy but legal manipulation by corporate management.

The fellow Enoch sited is a Christian Scientist, by the way. I found that odd.

I do not share your view of the Catholic Church's approach to the Constitution. Remember that when the Constitution was signed, each state had its own state religion. Maryland was Catholic but supported the Constitution. I would add too that anti-Catholic sentiment used to run very high in some places; and the Constitution protected Catholics.
