There are two beasts: the first and the next after him, which is not that the first beast was gone away, but remains to be idolized by the next.

Sort of like the next head of an organization, when the founder steps down from hands on rule?

The first beast does the work of building and rising up and making war with and overcoming the saints of the Lamb of God: Christians (Which shows he is not rising to harass, cause tribulation to, nor persecute them that are called Israel and Jews on earth.)

The next beast is called the false prophet that only had power to deceive and do miracles in the sight of the first, yet he takes the rule of death to higher wicked limits, by having all killed that do not worship the image of the first beast and receive his mark and name.

The first beast began the persecution of the saints, the next beast extends persecution and death to all that do not actively worship the first: it goes from them that openly call upon the Lord and believe the Lamb, to those sideliners that do not, and yet were not faithful at the first to the beast.

Eventually in our lives, we will all need to take a stand for one master or the other, and when we do one way or the other, both the dragon and the Lord know it, whether by submission to the beast in order to maintain public affairs, or by submission to God, without regard for what the current public thinks about it.

They both did their false teaching and prophecy by the power of the dragon, whereby three froggy unclean spirits hopped out of each of their mouths.

The scarlet beast, upon which Babylon the Great sits, is the same as the first beast having 7 heads and 10 horns.

He is also the 8th king, that is of the 7 preceding him, which are distinct from the 10 kings, which are the 10 horns of that scarlet beast.

I wonder if Babylon the Great is the 2nd beast and false prophet that rises the first beast' coattails to glory of man.

In any case, the scarlet beast's nature is: he that was, and is not at first, and then he that was, and is not, and yet is.

An antichrist is someone who departs from the apostles' doctrine (1 John 2:18-19) to begin to preach their own doctrine as that of Christ. They begin to only use the name of Jesus for effect, no longer truly confessing Him from the heart. (1 John 4:1-3)

He that was saved, and is not saved, and yet is preaching to the saved. He that was a minister of the righteousness of God, and is not ministering His righteousness, and yet is ministering his own righteousness as God.

John identified such false prophets as antichrists with the spirit of antichrist: a lying spirit (), like a frog that just leaps out at you without warning, hopping around wheresoever he wants, searching for flies to ensnare with his shooting sticky tongue.

So it is with false prophets and apostles and ministers, who begin to preach their own gospel and rule and law for others to obey as that of God and the Lord Jesus: in the end, they just begin to throw out there whatsoever they want and happen to need at the time, to keep the hearers deceived and controlled, while running down them that resist and hold to the faith of Jesus' only.

Why? For the power of God to speak their word, and have zealous and hungry believers instantly and unquestioningly obey.

That is a power of the dragon, that once tasted, sends them to perdition, to become a son of perdition.

The love of money is the root of all evil, but the love of having power as God only loves money as a by product.

God will make it crystal clear for us when the beast arrives. Meanwhile nearly 20 people throughout history, at least, have been given that label. And yet nothing that is suppose to come with the actual Beast's arrival has followed.
I prefer to wait and see in God's own time.

Why would we even pray to be taken out of the way of that which God intends to our good and purifying and sure entrance into His kingdom?

Much less, why would God then do so, since plainly His grace is sufficient of us to help us through it in our time of need?

There are two kinds of tribulation in the world:

That of man's wrath from the devil upon the righteous: temptation, deception, persecution, which purifies the saints that remain firm unto the end. Tribulation and purification.

That of God's righteous wrath and indignation recompensed upon them that trouble His people: tribulation and anguish (Rom 2:9)

We are not appointed to the tribulation and wrath of God unto destruction (1 Thess 5:9), but we certainly are promised tribulation and grace of God to be purified thereby.

That last great tribulation on earth with begin with the beast upon the saints of the Lamb, ending in the First resurrection, and will conclude with the return of the Lord upon the inhabitors, who will be appointed by unbelief to destruction.

That is why they come up with the notion that those times will be specifically against so-called 'Jews', to bring the so-called 'House of Israel' finally to it's knees, so they will only be grafted in again Jews.

Which still begs the question: if the first resurrection is before this period, then what happens to those in this period who plainly are Christians of the Lamb?

They then come up with a more ridiculous notion, that the First resurrection is phased in, or comes in parts. The first resurrection of them that were dead in Christ with them that were alive and remained on earth occurring first, and then during that period those that die in Christ go immediately into the resurrected state with the rest that went before, as in being present with the Lord when absent from the body.

But then that has already been the case, so the first 'part' of the resurrection must have already occured. Which is fine, except who were those alive and remaining that were instantly made immortal to meet with the Lord in the air?

And if they are in the air, then where are they?

But of course, Paul already rebuked them that the resurrection has already passed.

So, I like to keep it simple: the last great tribulation on earth will for the last time purify God's people on earth, and it will conclude with the resurrection of the just in likeness of Christ, just prior to the tribulation of God's wrath on them that remain, and the return of the Lord in the air with His saints, to reign with them for a thousand years.

Dur9ing which time there will be no more tribulation nor wrath on earth, except with any nation in open rebellion against Him. Nothing great, just some house-cleaning by the Lord Himself.

I have likened the Lord's 2nd coming in my life to rescue me from false ministry. It was a deliverance akin to that the 1st deliverance from dead works: delivered from dead works produced by belief in a law or commandment that is not of God, but of men, ministered as that of God.

An antichrist minister is one that ministers His own will for law of Christ, and those who believe it is Word of God are then holding to a false head and obeying a false god, though they are fervent in belief to be serving Christ:

They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.

I have been in a Christian organization of churches, where they did not have power to kill them that oppose, but certainly had power over the all to completely separate themselves from any that disagree with the law of 'Pastor'. I was once a leader among them that loved 'Pastor', until I saw his business was more securing power to himself over the flock of God, rather than of loving the people of God in the Father's business.

People are not born antichrists and cult leaders, neither do that decide one day to be such: they begin as sincere and honest in ministry as any other, but they go astray little by little over time, until they completely cross the line between helping the joy of the believers and becoming dominators of their faith, and the whole lump becomes leavened of ministry of man, not of Christ:

Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your for by faith ye stand. (2 Cor 1)

Correct. Believers escape the great tribulation, the last 42 months when the mark is given - except lukewarm Christians are unfortunately not worthy to escape all those things.

Half the ten virgins get shut out of the wedding supper at the coming of Jesus.

And two will be in the field, and one is taken, and one is left behind.

That’s a fifty percent ratio of taken and left behind believers.

That’s probably one reason John the revelator saw such a staggering number of souls who came out of the tribulation, who were beheaded for refusing to take the mark.

Hitler was the perfect candidate for the Antichrist, and Christians were sure he was - he persecuted the Jews and was taking over the world, and looked unstoppable at first - yet he obviously wasn’t.

We won’t know for sure who the Antichrist is, even during the first 3.5 years of general tribulation.

There will be continuing speculation about the one who ends up being the actual AC, until he dies from a head wound. and is resurrected possessed by Satan, then REVEALS himself to be the son of perdition for sure, by stepping into the temple, and declaring that he is god - then starts giving the mark of the beast.

Then the mid trib rapture occurs.
