You're a skeptic?
Only in the sense that I am deconstructing my religious upbringing.
I'm a believer, but I am re-evaluating things.

A believer in what? Who is your god? Why won't you tell us?

Jesus is my God, God of the Bible! I'm not ashamed to say it.

I think Christ will represent heresay to different groups from the Sanhedrin, pagan rulers and Islam. Or anyone who denied the truth and hid in the darkness.

The pagan rulers seen Christs truth lived out by Christians as heresay to the pagan gods and political system. All had to bow to the Emporers and their gods. Just like with the Sanhedrin Rome tolerated other beliefs so long as they paid taxes and did not cause disruption.

So the Sanhedrin and Rome had different reasons to think the Jesus movement was heretical in one way or another.

I think thats the same for today. All opposing group like todays Jews, or Islam or pagan and worldly ideologies will regard Christs truth as heresay to the worlds ideologies.

i believe that Jesus was not a heretic but rather he was and is the truth, the way and the life.

Jesus is come back to earth as he promised - the Spirit Of The Son is leading us and giving strength and faith in an evil and dark world.
He will be with and even in us to the end of the world.

this Spirit Of Holy is the Anointing Spirit of God through his Son, in union, as one - by the word of God made flesh

Eph 2:18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

please pray for me and i will do the same for you.,

Can you define "heretic"?

The purpose of this thread is to inform people that the term heretic is not always negative.
Wow.
What a great thread SS.
Just saw it.

This happens to be one of my favorite topics regarding the Christian RELIGION.

There are so many heretical ideas floating around this Forum that I've had to recluse myself from it for a
few days to reload.

Christians are SUPPOSED to be united and all believe in the same Christian core doctrines, or what I like to call, tenets - since that's what they are.

OR

The person is NOT of the Christian RELIGION.

Here's what HERETIC means:

Heresy is any teaching that is divorced from orthodox teaching - especially in religions.
Heresy is a moving away from what is taught in the mainline standard of that religion.

Herterodoxy is the opposite....it is in keeping with mainline teachings that define given religion.

That is my own definition.
But it's what it means.
