I think we need to learn to rest in what Jesus did for us. We overcome by our faith, faith in Christ, the same faith by which we are saved.

This is in no way saying that we are not continuing to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. But I am saying we more fully participate in that process by reaching out, taking hold by faith of His promises for us. Christ is made unto us sanctification. In Him we are sanctified, and by faith we enjoy the blessedness of this reality.

We are Complete in Him, But he has not completed His work in us. I Have used this analogy before... Just because you have all the parts of Car in one place does not mean they are properly assembled That you can drive the car. This is where the Church is, and where many in the Body of the church are.

You accuse me of beating the sheep, But what I am doing is encouraging them to seek more of Christ, To let Him be not just the Author of our faith but the finisher, the first step in this is to allow him to finish His work in us. That means pointing to the complacency and doctrines that are ingrained in the church that prevent this from occurring. That is what a Watchmen does... sound the alarm.....

The Church is so lost in the ways of the world that it is being watered down as the salt of the earth and the city on a hill. A weakened church emboldens the world to wickedness. So I cannot deny that there is a relationship there.

For me it is a question of taking responsibility. For example, I could go to work every day and act like the other workers, cussing up a storm and talking filthy, or I can go with a different attitude of being a testimony to my co workers of the grace of God.

Most Christians are complacent. They are content with their place in the Spiritual world, and do not see the need of revival thinking they are in need of nothing.

My Soul cries out for the presence of God, and a revival of the refreshing of the Spirit in the church. The times are ripe for this revival, with the Principalities of this world scheming against the church, lawlessness increasing, the love of many growing cold.

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; (Acts of the Apostles 3:19)

This thread really shows the need for using Biblical terminology. We all know when we are talking about revival that this is when many unbelievers get saved. But this thread uses "revival" for a growth in spirituality in the redeemed. The proper Biblical terminology for spiritual growth in the child of God is "renewing the mind". We have been made new, we are now alive in the new creation, and now we need to learn to think the right way.

"Christians need reviving!" "But the Christian is already alive." "Aha!! You are against revival!" No, I'm against misusing words, and misrepresenting God and other people.

This thread is one more way for a certain one to say, You are not spiritual, because you don't care . . . whomever you are . . .

Folks often over think things . From an early age we are indoctrinated into mens way of reasoning of seeing things .
We have to return to the simplicity found in Christ.
Which means if we want our minds renewed pray to GOD and Feast on that bible .

The science , the physcology , the medical field they have all hope and trust in .
