You're woefully ignorant of the facts here. Libtards have been calling for truck control for decades. They've been tightening the noose around the transportation industry to a point that the turnover rate among truck drivers is enormous. The larger trucking companies have people that do nothing but fly all over the country picking up abandoned trucks and trailers. Drivers just get to a point where they've had enough, and usually it's within the first six months. Trucking schools are making a killing training people to drive a truck, and it's only getting worse as more and more regulations accrue, the schools can do only one thing; jack up their prices. Law enforcement is also reaping astounding revenues from trucking companies as well as independent drivers. Laws for driving, laws for parking, laws for how long you can sleep, laws for more garbage than you can possibly imagine. Every time a truck driver does something stupid, there's a law enacted to make the rest pay for it.
