God could've been evil. Our creator could've been evil. Who says God has to be loving, good and righteous? He doesn't have to be, it could've been different but He is and that's why we're so lucky. If we had a God who was evil, suffering would be everywhere and un-ending.
It is a wonderful observation, but "blessed" might be a better word than "lucky," if I may.
Thought through a little further (or perhaps just parallel), the character trait of God which is creativity is not consistent with evil, which would be destructive.
This is an occupational hazard of "searching to find out God" (Job 11:7), so to speak.
All roads lead not to Rome, as the saying goes, but to love. God isn't just loving—He is as verily love as we are human.
Good/love is not merely the opposite of evil; it is the innately divine and Personal universal principle that infinitely surrounds the anomaly of sin/evil. Evil will not be beaten back by good. It will ultimately be devoured by the fire that comes down from God out of Heaven (Revelation 20:9).
Lovely idea for a thread, by the way. :)
