It wasn’t just the Jews and Christians; it was a common belief of the time period. And you will see a lot of references to “ the ends of the world and ends of the earth” The phrase mean something entirely different to us because we know the planet is round but, back then it was a fear…..of falling off the ends of the world….particularly for sailors.

The scriptures detail the earth stationary and flat and on a foundation.
According to these scriptures the earth has a foundation….and it was set on pillars that could be shaken but the earth could not move and the sun and moon moved around it….and if an object was tall enough it could be seen from the four corners of the earth because the earth was flat….and it had corners….and the sun and moon can stop traveling around the flat earth…. and heaven has windows.

1st Chronicles 16:30
Tremble before him, all the earth! The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved….. (They believed that the Earth did not rotate or move….. everything… sun, moon, and stars, orbits the earth.)

Many try and lie about the bible my friend in order to make it seem as only the writings of ignorant men .
But it sure does say real clear the earth is a sphere right there in Issiah forty .
They try and use the examples of the four winds or four corners of the earth . But that is just implying
from east , west , south , north , NOT that the earth was flat .
In fact maybe , just maybe men like columbus had read the scripture
and thought HEY maybe the earth REALLY IS A SPHERE . either way IT DOES SAY the great circle of the earth .

and to adapt to societal views . Because it has always been so and it has always been of men .

is another way of implying the whole earth friend . Not that its flat .
East , west , south , north . just cause there are four locations DONT MEAN the earth is flat .

what to take LITERALLY
and what rather is an example of what is something that is meant to be .
For example . look at how often the prophets by GOD had warned men
What shall ye do in the swellings of the river .
It actually was talking about men , using waters as an example in the stead of men .

LIKE the forests , men , moutains high men , valleys humble men .
Trees men . waters men ,
And it actually makes it clear too in places .

Don’t mistake your wishful thinking for reality. You haven’t said anything new—no original thoughts, just the same old recycled claims I’ve heard from Soviet atheist propaganda. Every verse you quoted has been discussed to death. There are tons of books on this, and YouTube is overflowing with podcasts about it—more than anyone could watch in a lifetime. Your points went stale back in the 20th century, and every one of them has already been dissected to pieces.

I asked them in return: “Have you never made a wish when you saw a ‘falling star’ in the sky?” It’s a common superstition to wish on a “falling star,” but we know it’s just a meteor burning up in the atmosphere. Yet we still say “a star fell.” Same thing.

The Bible isn’t a cosmology textbook. It uses poetic language, not scientific blueprints. Why keep pushing this flat Earth narrative when it’s been debunked countless times?

i do beleive them . its just that does not and was not implying the earth was flat .
Though some folks might think tthat it was .
No , that is a older common english phrase .
It would be like me saying way back in the day
THERE IS NO escape for you , I will come at you from the four corners of the earth .
IT was a common phrase my friend to simply mean from all areas of the earth . that is what i been t rying to tell you .
Some of us actually did read the study of english f rom runic to today .
PLUS the key is READ ISSIAH . that would have made it very clear its round .

Get off the Soviet / atheist thing.

Grailhunter appears to have learned under men that wanted to make things in the bible seem
as incorrect . TO make us trust more into todays men and their teachings and their greek .
But what grailhunter did not realize is
THIS IS SO they could decieve them . Many have had this approach
They come into the church , SMART ENOUGH and WISE enough NOT to attack the scrips
or even call the bible bad , BUT ALL the while they were trying to slowly make it seem
