I went through a phase were I was into choral symphonies; John Ritter, Arvo Part, even Gregorian chant. The symphonies have a different atmosphere about them. Less... earthy, if you will, and more ethereal.

Might have to go get one out, especially the happier stuff like Ritter's works. The crucifixion and descent into darkness segments in most symphonies are usually a bit of a bummer, but if you buy collections of selected works you can just let it play. Uplifting, and not too heavy.
