What does the hell doctrine say about the character of God?

My hope is for some kind of universalism (all creation to be happy in the end).

Biblically, I think the strongest case can be made for annihilation of those who willfully reject Christ and the goodness of God.

Few places in the Bible can be seen as some kind of eternal torture (if read extremely literally), but I cannot make this idea work with the character of the perfect being we call God.

A LIE and yet used truth to do so . watch closely my friend .

Ye shall become as gods to know good and evil , truth . CAUSE EVEN GOD said THEY have become as us to know good and evil .
SO ya see HE uses a truth but does so to imply a lie as well . As do many others i might add .
PRIME example of this one .
Has CHRIST , has GOD really said That if you beleive NOT ye shall die in your sins , perish .
And the correct response is , WHY YES , HE who beleives shall b e saved but he who believes not shall be damned .
THEN ENTERS the voice of the liar

like one wont perish just b ecause GOD is love .

My advice remains the same . STAY IN that bible and preach JESUS CHRIST and all sound doctrine .
FOR EVERY word of GOD is TRUTH and works GOOD to the hearer and the doer . TO he who beleives GOD , not men who twist his words

SO carnal understanding is not the determining factor
as to what is true , what is right or wrong .
You always play on things to recreate another image of GOD that is NOT GOD .

of what YOU d esire to beleive IS GOD .
Rather than twisting things in bible
and rather than sitting under decontruction
READ the bible for you . STOP trying to find ways around what is written
when such things get in the way of your own desired goal of what and who you desire to beleive GOD IS ............
JUST BELIEVE as do a child WHAT IS WRITTEN .
Rather than trying to remold what is written into an image of your own desired god
READ and LET THE WORDS transform your mind and ye shall see clearer and clearer
AS the words inspired of GOD reveal more and more to you the right IMAGE OF GOD .
STOP trying to remold god into an image of man
and rather LET HIM by THE SPIRIT remold and change you . First you need to lie down and pray forgivenss
and pray perhaps the thoughts of your own mind will be forgiven you .
Be contrite and humble and PRAY to GOD for this and GET in that bible and start afresh and anew FOR YOU .

There once lived a man who had desire for souls to be saved .
He had been given the right life line by which to t hrow into the ocean to save the drowing children .
But rather than throwing the drowning children that life line
HE sat on the oceans shore watching them drown but hoping in the end all would be okay .
IN OTHER WORDS
IF YOU WANT souls saved then i highly suggest
we throw the LINE OF THE GOSPEL OF B ELIEVE YE IN JESUS TO THEM .
cause HE i know sa ves . AND if they BELEIVE ON HIM then they will be saved .

What sort of monster would create such a thing? The most sadist tyrant imaginable.

How does it work and what is the purpose?
There is no purpose other than eternal torment on the grandest scale.
We have all experienced a burn at some point in our lives.

Maybe we touched the stove. We immediately removed our hand,

We are also familiar with the burn ward at the hospital.
Severe burn victims are treated there. Recovery is horrible.
Requiring skin grafts and a slow and painful healing process.

Yet no human has fallen into a volcano (lake of fire) and survived.
Is this what God has planned for those who refuse the free gift of eternal life?
Seems pretty harsh. Receive the free gift of eternal life, or if you prefer
you will be incinerated. That is one VERY expensive FREE GIFT.

Imagine being thrown into a volcano. What a horrible thing. But wait...
That's not the end. God has created this lake of fire so that you cannot die.
You will endure this torture with no hope of escape.

Your flesh will be burned away only to be replaced with fresh flesh to be burned again and again.
Hard to imagine a more sadistic or cruel punishment for a temporal crime. Justice? Nope.

Couldn't this have been avoided with a simple discussion?
Ten seconds in hell would be enough for anyone to get the message.

I've only ever seen biblical evidence for repentance being possible for the living. There is purgatory, but I'm not RCC and find evidence for it lacking.
