38) Cold or Hot Anger?

  • In Deuteronomy Chapter 9, we are told that Israel has no righteousness!
  • Israel is an obstinate people!
  • They provoked Yah.weh in the wilderness!
  • They rebelled against Yah.weh!
  • In Horeb, Yah.weh wanted to annihilate Israel!
  • They made a golden calf!
  • At Tabʹe·rah, At Masʹsah, and at Kibʹroth-hat·taʹa·vah, they provoked Yah.weh!
  • Is that clear enough?
  • It should be!

39) Cold or Hot Anger?

  • In Deuteronomy 25, Yah.weh remembers israel that Amalek attacked them when they came back from Egypt!
  • Thus he opposed Yah.weh!
  • So when Yah.weh gets them rest from all their enemies, they must do everything so the name of Amalek will disappear!

40) Cold or Hot Anger?

  • In Deuteronomy 31, Yah.weh tells Moses that he is going to die!
  • And he says that as soon as Moses is dead, Israel will begin to commit spiritual prostitution with the foreign gods that are in Canaan!
  • They will forsake him and break his covenant!
  • Then each time Yah.weh will become angry and strike them with calamities and distresses!
  • And Yah.weh tells Moses to write down a song about rebellious Israel and it will serve as a witness to them!
  • Then Moses tells the song to Israel!

41) Cold or Hot Anger?

  • In Joshua 7, we are told about a new problem!
  • Jericho was destroyed and everything in the city had been devoted to destruction!
  • But a man named Achan took something which was devoted to destruction!
  • As a consequence, Yah.weh was angry at the israelites!
  • Then the Israelites went to destroy the city of Ai!
  • But they lost and had to flee!
  • And it happened because of Achan’s action!
  • Because of what happened to Israel, they stoned Achan and his family!

  • In Judges 2, we are told about the covenant between Yah.weh and the israelites!
  • But they kept disobeying Yah.weh!
  • As a consequence, Yah.weh permitted the inhabitants of Canaan to stay in Israel to push the Israelites in the wrong direction!
  • When Joshua died, the Israelites went after other gods!
  • And Yah.weh stroke them and they were in great distress!
  • And Yah.weh raised up judges to save them from their enemies!
  • But each time when a judge died, they went back to corruption and did worse than their forefathers!

Israel’s history is a sad and sorry tale of disobedience and repeatedly falling into false worship. We learn more from Israel’s mistakes and punishments that we learn about obedience and blessings. The point is, we learn some valuable lessons from all of it......what to do, and what NOT to do if we want to remain in God’s book of remembrance.

- It belongs to cold anger!
- Though Yah.weh's patience again and again!
- But he gave them judges!
- And when a judge died, they started again going away from Yah.weh!
- Then they got human Kings!
- Then they went to exiles!
- it was a progressive reaction from yah.weh!
- He always tried to educate them!
- Then he sent his own child!
- But they never listened!
- Then their privilege was taken away!
- And the message could spread through the nations!
- But the majority doesn't care as usual!
- Only a minority!

The whole reason why we have a written record of how we got into this mess, is so that we have the big picture and can see exactly what happened back in Eden and what God has been doing all this time in getting us back to square one....living forever in paradise on earth was always his purpose in connection with humankind. He carefully prepared this planet to sustain all the life that he placed here. But when sin entered the human race, wickedness came with it.....and it only gets worse. There is no morality anymore and today we see many people lamenting the demise of common sense and good manners.
All we hear today is filthy language and people in and out of relationships that often produce children who have no idea what a family is.

@JLG said:

That old saying remains as true today as when it was written.....”those who do not learn from the mistakes of the past are doomed to repeat them.”

Modern day Christendom is a mirror image of first century Judaism.....based on man-made traditions instead of God’s word. (Matt 15:7-9) Humans are so predictable that satan can manipulate them using the same tactics century after century....repeating the same strategies and gaining more recruits before his final judgment....taking as many down with him as he can.

YES, i also gathered that understanding from the Holy Scriptures.

What does the Period after Yah determine in language description?
