Truth is about something. It doesn't exist in a vacuum. If I asked you to tell the truth about the weather, your verbal description should match the reality outside. So what is Jesus the Truth about?Huh??
I understand your logic, but I don't think your reasoning applies in this instance.Truth is about something. It doesn't exist in a vacuum. If I asked you to tell the truth about the weather, for example, your verbal description should match the reality outside. So what is Jesus the Truth about?
If you think about it some more, the question might make more sense; but what do you think he meant?I understand your logic, but I don't think your reasoning applies in this instance.
Jesus said He IS the truth, so the reasonable question would be "What does He mean by saying He is the truth?"
Jesus didn't say that He was the truth...about something. So, your question is off track because it's based on something Jesus wasn't saying, not on what He actually said.If you think about it some more, the question might make more sense; but what do you think he meant?
I think you may have missed something important.Jesus didn't say that He was the truth...about something. So, your question is off track because it's based on something Jesus wasn't saying, not on what He actually said.
What you're talking about are facts based on scientific knowledge. Of course, Jesus wasn't saying that He was the facts about some academic discipline like meteorology.
I think what's missing is THE question that no one can really answer. I mean we can try, but we never really explain it fully.I think you may have missed something important.
If you are sure there's no answer, you may be blocking something out.I think what's missing is THE question that no one can really answer. I mean we can try, but we never really explain it fully.
What is truth??
I said that no one can answer the question, i.e. fully explain what truth is.If you are sure there's no answer, you may be blocking something out.
Forget it then.I said that no one can answer the question, i.e. fully explain what truth is.
There IS an answer. Jesus IS the truth.
Here's something I found helpful from gotquestions.org. This is from a longer article.Forget it then.
Who TODAY knows what Jesus Says ?What Jesus came preaching was "modern apostacy" to the religious throng of His day.
