Neither was Noah, or Lot, or the Church. The people who will be "taken away" are the wicked. The rest of us will enter the Millennial Kingdom. :)

As far as being "surprised", there is ONE group which WILL be SURPRISED:

1 Thess. 5:3 When people say, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as travail comes upon a woman with child, and there will be no escape. 4 But you are not in darkness, brethren, for that day to surprise you like a thief.

Scripture suggests that Jesus will return in 2 1/2 years. So where approximately 60% of the Jews perished in the Holocaust, I expect the same for the sleeping church. I just don't plan to be part of that number. :)

    With Best Regards,

They were quite likely part of the First Fruits of the Resurrection harvest. Jesus was the First of the First Fruits (on the Feast of the First Fruits--just to make sure we figured it out). Jesus told His followers that He was going to prepare a place for them that they would always be with Him. I believe (can't prove it from Scripture) that He was speaking of the New Jerusalem that does not come down out of heaven until Revelation 21.

"But wait...if it WAS the delusion (you will not die)" Neither would we know as, it's a delusion, we'd have been deluded! Not funny really if you think about it. I have a sister that is easily swayed...

Some verses seem to say the wicked will be removed. Others seem to say the righteous will be removed. Its very confusing until you note that there are 2 reapings spoken of in rev. The first one sounds pleasant. The second one sounds terrifying.

I think we will be in the New Jerusalem in heaven with Jesus during the Millennial Kingdom. The reason being that the Millennial Kingdom will be a mortal Kingdom (it speaks of the "Prince" having sons in the very detailed picture of the Millennial Kingdom that the Book of Ezekiel paints in chapters 40-48). In the Book of Jeremiah, it speaks of God raising David to be their king. Jesus is King--the King of Kings and will be over all other ruling authorities but the Bible does not say that He will rule from earth. A number of Jewish-Christians believe that the New Jerusalem will hover over the Millennial Kingdom. The Book of Revelation states that the New Jerusalem will not come down to earth until after the Great White Throne Judgment has taken place.

Yes--those who belong to this world will be surprised. But we are citizens of heaven and do not belong to this world and are not in darkness.

    Amen! :)

When you add in the verse about making the righteous sad when God did not want them to be sad and crying peace to others, thereby making them not turn from their ways (false security) and how that angered God

And then you add the one about bringing blind and lame sacrifices to the altar,

And then add in the place where the prophet told them they were cheating God of His due and they literally were surprised to be told that,

Yeah, you get a picture of them not even knowing or seeing they were deluded.

It seems like a repeat. Eerily like a repeat.

Ummmmmm, the Millennial Kingdom is when Jesus is on earth for 1,000 years. And if the church is in "heaven", it might be a lonely world for Jesus. Perhaps the christians could be used in HIS Kingdom, -- administrating, monitoring, policeing, preaching, evangelizing, solving problems, -- whatever.

But my wife tells me that Jesus could come for me at any moment, -- and then she always says: If You Don't Knock It Off. So whatever I'm doing, I stop and sit quietly. Yeah, NOT. :)

Except that the Bible never says that Jesus will rule from the earth. The title "King of Kings" in the ancient world was basically the same as "Emperor"--one who rules over an empire (with lots of kings or princes under His authority). An emperor could obviously not be everywhere at once. You have to think about why the Risen Christ is not here--except through His Body, the Church. I have to go to bed now because I have to be up early in the a.m.--will talk again tomorrow. Goodnight :)

I think the point is, satan has "ruled" this earth for 6,000 years and will attempt to totally destroy mankind. Jesus will rule the earth for 1,000 years of PEACE without his influence, (he will be cast into the pit), and after the thousand years are ended satan will be released for a SECOND attempt to destroy mankind, but will be judged for eternity.

Of course there are FALSE doctrines which insist that the New Jerusalem will come "down" to the earth (remember, it's 1,500 miles in the X, Y, & Z dimensions, -- coincidentally LIKE A SPHERE) and they insist that Jesus will RESTORE the earth. What a bunch of nonsense. We will follow after the DEAD are raise, to be with the LORD forever in the air.

But to get there, we have "endure" the tribulation:

Rev. 13:9 If any one has an ear, let him hear:
10 If any one is to be taken captive,
    to captivity he goes;
if any one slays with the sword,
with the sword must he be slain.
Here is a call for the endurance and faith of the saints.

Rev. 14:12 Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

So I hope you're preparing for the day when we can't "buy or sell", by using your "purse", "bag", and "sword":

Luke 22:35 And he said to them, “When I sent you out with no purse or bag or sandals, did you lack anything?” They said, “Nothing.” 36 He said to them, “But now, let him who has a purse take it, and likewise a bag. And let him who has no sword sell his mantle and buy one.

And if the "fellowship" is not prepared, we may find ourselves as Peter in the courtyard, -- denying Jesus --, because we ~need to pay rent and buy food~, and/or may not want to be ~beheaded~.

Hope your new day goes well,
    Bobby Jo

No disagreement from me on that point.

How do you know that the New Jerusalem isn't a "cube" or even a "pyramid"? I think the Lord WILL restore the earth and all of the genomes of life going into the Millennial Kingdom. Isaiah chapter 65 paints a word picture of the Millennial Kingdom and it says long life will return (that "only sinners" will die as young as 100).

Is He speaking of the Church or is He speaking of the saints of the Tribulation? Especially, the Jewish believers in Rev. 14?

Whatever the Lord has prepared for each of us cannot be changed by us.

    Revelation 21--starting at verse 2:

And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

3I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them.a 4He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever...”

6c "To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life. 7All who are victorious will inherit all these blessings, and I will be their God, and they will be my children..."

9Then one of the seven angels who held the seven bowls containing the seven last plagues came and said to me, 'Come with me! I will show you the Bride, the wife of the Lamb.' 10So he took me in the Spirit to a great, high mountain, and he showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God. 11It shone with the glory of God and sparkled like a precious stone—like jasper as clear as crystal. 12The city wall was broad and high, with twelve gates guarded by twelve angels. And the names of the twelve tribes of Israel were written on the gates.

Yeah, GOD doesn't make a who lot of "cubes", with the exception of a 2.5" long x 2.5" wide x 2.5" deep cube that used in the game of "baseball". I just can't get over how those "pitchers" can throw that thing almost 100mph without destroying their shoulders, and arms. They must be really tough. :)

No, -- we have our own free will. And as we make the decision whether we can earn a paycheck or end up on concentration camp, MANY christians will choose the former in spite of the fact that the Camp SHOWERS Are FREE! :)

But for me, it seems smarter to flee to the mountains where a person might have a cabin, some food, fuel, and necessities.

But God already knows which we will choose. ;) How the sovereignty of God meets the free will of man (and I believe in both) is one of the mysteries of God. :)

NO DOUBT! :) But Peter was adamant how he would DIE for Jesus, and then denied HIM three times. So certain GOD knows, but do WE know?!?

Of course there are ways a person can "resist" temptation. One is to STAND FIRM, - which Peter tried. Another is to REMOVE YOURSELF FROM temptation which might be possible because you're self-sufficient so you don't FEAR the loss of your job, your home, and not being able to feed you family, -- and ALREADY HAVE A PLACE (other family and/or cabin, -- with food) WHERE YOU CAN FIND REFUGE. And toward this, you've used to "purse" to fill your "bag", and can protect yourself and your family with you "sword":

Luke 22:35 And he said to them, “When I sent you out with no purse or bag or sandals, did you lack anything?” They said, “Nothing.” 36 He said to them, “But now, let him who has a purse take it, and likewise a bag. And let him who has no sword sell his mantle and buy one.

Or, alternately, I understand that the SHOWERS are FREE! :)

And remember, according to my best understanding of Prophecy, we have approximately 2 years until we can't buy or sell, and ~2 1/2 years until we have global thermonuclear war and Jesus returns.

I often wondered if these two reapings, or harvests, was concerning the "rapture" (which I thought I was settled on for many years but now, not so much) and then the Wrath of God being poured out during the "Great Trib." Which again...I'm not cemented there either, so @"ByGrace" see how this site has made me look at things I otherwise would not? Lol. (that is an excellent Thread, BTW)
I dunno but, I think those who are left on this Earth will be the ones going through the G.T. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Hi farouk,

The so-called Mandela Effect is remembering events in a way that is markedly different from what really happened. It was named as such by some woman (I forget her name) who, in the 1980s thought she remembered that Nelson Mandela was dead (when he was very much alive at the time). Psychologists also call it the false memory effect. It is essentially, one's mind playing tricks. Is it the beginning of the mass delusion that the Bible says that God will send to those who belong to the world?

Imo find a way to reflect on them both as occurring today, even confront any Scripture or perspective that has given you a diff idea, meeting Him in the clouds or whatever it may be. You can even make simple statements to yourself, simple conclusions, and then see if any other Scripture contradicts the pov, and kind of go from there.

Being as how it is virtually a given that you will find some contradicting Scripture, right, are you reading poetry literally, and discounting factual statements, or vice-versa, stuff like that

Does "we cannot sin" mean that it now impossible, or it is now um vehemently cautioned against, also. Is the direct statement being perceived with rose colored glasses iow, which Scripture reveals at other passages, or will reveal anyway, if and when you can like allow them in.

If it means "impossible" to...someone, then imo they will refuse to contemplate other Scripture that suggests differently, etc
