They have the authority of Christ and his word.
you said Bible alone!
You and Luther don’t seem to know that the word alone means ALONE!

They have the authority of Christ and his word.
He can say whatever he wants.
What the Catholic church did is quite another thing.
I surely do not agree with pope Agatho that his church "never turned from the way of truth nor held any kind of error".
These things are not in dispute.
What we don't agree with is the Catholic church is the church.
Every saved, born again believer is 'the church'.
What we disagree with is your narrow, elitist definition of the church and how it is only through it that one can know and discern the truth. The Catholic church hierarchy gets in the way of the personal relationship that Christ has with the members of his own body.
Correct. That is JAMES' argument, not Paul's. No man is SHOWN to be righteous (justified) by faith that is alone and does not work.
Paul's argument is that a man is MADE righteous (justified) by faith without works.
Two entirely DIFFERENT arguments. The Catholic church can't see the difference between the two definitions and usages of the word 'justified' so they came up with a false doctrine to make James agree with Paul as if they were using the same meaning of the word 'justified'. And so what they ended up with was a doctrine that says a man is justified by faith and works, saying that faith is works as if they were one and the same thing (they are not). By doing that they effectively led their movement down the path of a false gospel that can not save, the gospel of works justification/salvation.
What is the rule of faith for Christians?
Depends on what part of life you are looking at. but WWJD is a good rule of thumb. But that also means knowing the Scriptures by study and prayer.
Christ IS the church.Did Christ found a church?
Christ IS the church.
That's the truth you can't seem to grasp.
You keep looking at it as if it's an organization of leaders.
Servants called, gifted, and sent by God to do that in the various offices he has established in the body of Christ. To point, the Catholic leadership is NOT those servants.who governs the church or administers the kingdom?

I forgot that 'Christ' means 'the Catholic church hierarchy' to you, lol.you said Bible alone!
You and Luther don’t seem to know that the word alone means ALONE!
That's what makes Catholicism a works gospel religion and why it is rejected by us non-Catholics.there can be no justification apart from the sacraments and especially baptism
Cornelius and his family would beg to differ with you, lol.without the outward action the inward action cannot take place!
Jn 3:5 Born again BY water and the spirit!
"We say that justification is effective without works, not that faith is without works."You cannot enter on you’re own or by faith alone!
Who told you non-Catholics don't baptize? They did not go to Jerusalem and preach “accept Christ as you’re personal Lord and savior “
They went to the river (water) and they baptized! Jn 3:22
A covenant requires an outward sign of the inward action of grace!
If Peter meant baptism earns salvation then he would be in direct contradiction to Paul, in which case we can all just throw our Bibles away and go back to our sins and forget about the Christian faith. Catholic interpretation of scripture creates contradictions in scripture.1 pet 3:21 baptism saves you.
