(1 of 3 Martyrs;57980)
Here's how I understand it. Remember even the cross gets abused by occult groups. The star of David wasn't created until after the cross, but I think it is a beautiful symbol in this way.(btw I am a messianic Jew)The star is made up of equilateral triangles representing the trinity, three equal sides, one triangle. One is pointing to heaven, the other to earth, representing the God of heaven and earth.Where the 2 intersect, 6 smaller equilateral triangles are "created" symbolizing man created on the 6th day in God's image. The 6 smaller triangles joined together form the 12 sided star of David, symbolic of the 12 tribes of Israel, the 12 Apostles.Messiah Yeshua is the Star of David, the Star of Jacob, the bright and morning Star.Num 24:17 I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.
Yes, being a math-type geek myself, I also saw on my own accord the numbers in the star of David that you mentioned, i.e. the numbers 1,2,3,6,7,and 12 for sure. For example, the hexagon in the middle creates 6 equilateral triangles each one the same area as each star point, hence the number "12" since the star can be created using 12 small equilateral triangles. I believe a long time ago I also did some geometric calculations as well, but I forgot what I got as the results. This will be a little project for one night in the future where I feel like calculating a little. It should be fun to see if it yields any other neat results such as the golden ratio or something to that effect.
