excellent question.
What if you are wrong about the majority or all of what you know to be true about Christianity? Do you anticipate an angry God as a result of your failure to understand Him? Will you value the time you spent on Earth, despite your incorrect understanding of His Will? Will you accept His correction if offered?
that's a three fold question.
First of all Christianity is a learning curve. forming into unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ. as the saying go, "he's not finish with me yet".
#1. Do you anticipate an angry God as a result of your failure to understand Him?.
well 2 there is no excuse, scripture, Luke 10:16 "He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me". if a man or woman is sent by GOD, and you refuse to hear, and obey. what leg do you have to stand on?. time is short, and his word is true, Revelation 22:11 "He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. 12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last". he will separate when he appears. so there is no excuse. those who have ears to hear let them hear. as the apostle Paul said, "have they not heard?", yes our sound went out unto the world.
#2. Will you value the time you spent on Earth, despite your incorrect understanding of His Will?
this question connect with #3. but most of us are sluggers, Proverbs 6:6 "Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: verse 9 How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep? 10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: 11 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man". most of us are sleepy eyes, teachers, prophets, and Elders. we're satified with what we have. the devil have put us to sleep. never questioning anything. just going along as the rest. but the road that lead to hell is broad and wide, and a many travel it. but the road of righteousness, is narrow, and only a few travel it. most would rather compromise and get along with other, just for the benefit peace. which is just only a short time. when one need to separate yourself from the crowd and obtain ETERNAL LIFE. I value my time by seeking the Lord, and I find that it is a JOY, and FUN seeking him. yes I'm on a learning curve, but Loving every minute of it.
#3. Will you accept His correction if offered?.
Men love darkness, meaning lack of understanding and knowledge. don't know and don't want to know. even if it is offered?, they are so much in gross darkness for some, I don't know, only the Lord Jesus knows. he said, John 5:39 "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me". most are not searching, but relying on blind, dumb teachers, pastors, and overseers. never taking the time to search the scriptures for themselves. and ASK QUESTIONS.

this is what so intriguing about want to be righteous Christians in their belife. instead of saying, maybe you might have something there brother or sister, lets search the scriptures and see if its true or not. if we would have all work TOGETHER and found out the truth, all can share in the edification, by working together. instead, some work alone, and or AGAINST others, and now your efforts are in vain. is this togetherness? no, some say "let agree to disagree". if we do, the lie keep running. and we have agreed to a lie. a lie is running because it know it don't have long to live. so the lie is running for its life. and we give it life by agreeing to it. instead of ending its life, by seeking truth together, we should be as the Bereans. Acts 17:10 "And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. 12 Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few. that's the key, if we search the scriptures, many will believe.
as the apostle Paul said , Philippians 2:2 "Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. 4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men".
I'm suggesting that we all get off our high horses and humble ourselves. this is a discussion board, not a who's right or wrong witch hunt. nor is it the, "I know more that you". the answer to this is, WE ALL KNOW NOTHING, but we all need to share, and search the scriptures. and by learning we can come to truth. "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness".
as this topic stated, "What if we're wrong", answer, we have a chance to get right. without being ashame. it's ashame to think that you know, that's the deception. the GREAT DECEPTION as the bible speak of is this, "I "THINK" I'M RIGHT". why not know that you're RIGHT?. there's enough worng to go around. lets start off right, by not trying to find fault in one another. but try in edifyjng one another. which is called the "HELP MINISTRY", 1 Corinthians 12:28.
if we're so sure of our beliefs, then we should have no problem in having them examine. for if it is the truth, it will stand. and a lie will fall.
