Guess where Jesus will return. Don't know?

Zechariah 14:1-4

1 Behold, the day of the LORD is coming, ...
2 For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem; ...
3 Then the LORD will go forth And fight against those nations, As He fights in the day of battle.
4 And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, Which faces Jerusalem on the east.

Christ can return to Jerusalem without Jerusalem being the covenant center of Christianity.

Bethlehem was where Christ was born, Golgotha was where He was crucified. Jerusalem was where He rose and where Pentecost occurred. None of that means Christians are covenantally defined by possession of those locations.

And Zechariah 14 doesn't erase:

Romans 9:6 - not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel.

Galatians 3:29 - those who belong to Christ are Abraham’s seed and heirs.

Ephesians 2 - Jew and Gentile made one in Christ.

1 Peter 2:9–10 - Christ’s people are the "chosen race, royal priesthood and holy nation."

Where does Christ or an apostle say that the geopolitical state founded in 1948 is covenant Israel because it possesses that territory?

Nowhere...

The Apostolic Fathers wouldn't have even recognized this idea as the Christianity they preached. Ignatius, Justin Martyr, and Irenaeus repeatedly center covenant identity in Christ and His people, and Ignatius explicitly warns Christians against Judaizing. Trying to drag Christian covenant identity back into flesh, land, and Judaism after Christ is exactly the kind of theological reversal their writings vehemently push against.

Jesus returning to a location does not make that location the covenant identity of "God’s people".

Got to take those Hagee-vision goggles off before they keep dragging you to places Christ never told you to go.

Then why will He fight for them and DESTROY their enemies?

Jesus is the God of Israel, King of the Jews! That's why.

Trying to save your soul is exhausting.

“My people Israel.” Yes.. and the whole question is who constitutes God’s covenant people after Christ.

You keep reading Israel, then magically fast-forwarding 2,000 years, pointing at a modern state, and pretending the word itself proves your conclusion.

It doesn’t. Not even close..

Jesus is the King of Israel. Exactly, so point people to the KING; not the dirt.

Romans 9, Galatians 3, Ephesians 2, and 1 Peter 2 all drag covenant identity into Christ and His people.

Quoting Amos again doesn't prove that the state founded in 1948 is covenant Israel whatsoever.

You’re still assuming the very thing you were asked to prove.

Somewhere in a holler in Tennessee, 1930 the devil walked into town…

“Hey Jebediah, did ya hear the news?! Jesus Christ isn’t Israel anymore!”

Jebediah: “HE AIN’T WHAT?!”

“That’s right! Turns out all those Christians for the last one-thousand and nine hundred years had it all wrong!”

Jebediah: “YOU MEAN CHRIST ISN'T REALLY THE FULFILLMENT OF ISRAEL ANYMORE?!”

“Nope! The New Testament wasn’t really dragging everything forward into Christ like everybody thought. It was secretly pointing us back toward bloodline, land, dirt, borders, and a future nation-state thousands of years later!”

Jebediah: “OH MY GOSH! YOU MEAN GALATIANS, EPHESIANS, ROMANS, PETER AND HEBREWS WERE REALLY TALKING ABOUT LAND?!”

“Exactly! You just didn’t understand the system, Jebediah.”

Jebediah: “BUT PAUL SAID THOSE WHO BELONG TO CHRIST ARE ABRAHAM’S SEED! AND THAT'S US.”

“That’s only what it looks like if you read it regular like.”

Jebediah: “AND CHRIST MADE JEW AND GENTILE INTO ONE!”

“Again, Jebediah; you’re reading the words without our notes. Be careful and don’t drift… remember; system first, scripture second.”

Jebediah: “BUT HEBREWS SAYS THE OLD COVENANT IS NOW OBSOLETE!”

“Sure does! Which is why God obviously brings the whole blood-and-land arrangement back 2,000 years later.”

Jebediah: “...WHAT!???????”

“Prophecy, Jebediah. Keep up.”

Jebediah: “SO JESUS IS THE MESSIAH, HIS KINGDOM IS NOT OF THIS WORLD, BUT THERE’S STILL ANOTHER COVENANT CENTER SOMEWHERE OVER THERE BUILT OUT OF BLOODLINES AND LAND? On.... this world???”

“Now you’re learning dispensationalism!”

Jebediah: “HOLD ON NOW - WHERE DOES THE NEW TESTAMENT SAY ANY OF THIS?!”

“It doesn’t say it plainly, Jebediah.

That’s why you need our system to help you understand God’s word.”

You just magically inserted “AND HE DID!” into Ezekiel like it was inspired text.

It isn’t.

Ezekiel never says “1948.”

And you conveniently split the prophecy in half... the LAND is supposedly fulfilled by a twentieth-century state, while the ONE HEART and NEW SPIRIT are suddenly "on hold" and “stay tuned.” In other words, you take the one clause that fits your 1948 theory, declare it fulfilled, and postpone the rest of the prophecy when it doesn’t fit. That isn’t the text proving your interpretation; that’s your interpretation cutting the prophecy into pieces.

Luke 1:68 tells you exactly where the God of Israel’s redemption arrives -> JESUS CHRIST.

You keep quoting promises the New Testament centers and fulfills through CHRIST, then turning around and pointing back to dirt & shadow while ignoring the very apostolic fulfillment that tells Christians how to read them. Your entire system keeps dragging Moses the servant in front of the Son of God, as though the servant can overrule the Master.

Old-covenant categories should be interpreted through Christ, not used to correct Christ.

I wrongly assumed most could understand that's my comment. "And He did!"
Ezekiel never says “1948.”
Didn't have to!

And He did! They are home to stay! All the jealous wannabees on Earth can't move them out of their Land!

Your smoke screen noted. And you still don't know where Jesus will return? It's called ISRAEL, the Land of the Bible where He left. Gee, I hope you don't end up like these whom Satan has deceived!

Computer, according to his writings, would Ignatius of Antioch, disciple and hearer of John the Apostle, consider teaching like Reverend Hagee’s to place Christians in any kind of spiritual danger?

“Yes, unequivocally.

Ignatius explicitly warned Christians NOT to Judaize and said that if anyone preached the Jewish law, ‘DO NOT LISTEN TO HIM.’

Not ‘consider his perspective.’

Not ‘respect his prophetic framework.’

Not ‘remember your Jewish roots.’

DO. NOT. LISTEN.

So judged strictly by Ignatius’s own written standard, this is not some harmless disagreement over charts, bloodlines, land, or prophecy.

Ignatius would regard teaching that drags Christians back toward Judaizing doctrine as gravely spiritually dangerous.”

And there it is.

Not my standard.

Ignatius’s.

Disciple and hearer of the Apostle John.

I rest my case.

Ignore the first 39 Books in the Bible? That sounds just like a doctrine of Satan! Especially since Jesus was cited nearly 80 times quoting OT in the NT and Paul over 100 times!

You don’t even understand the argument.

Nobody said ignore the Old Testament.

The argument is that CHRIST INTERPRETS THE OLD TESTAMENT FOR CHRISTIANS.

Jesus and Paul quoted the Old Testament because it testified about CHRIST and was fulfilled in CHRIST.

Quoting Moses does not put Moses back over the Son.

You keep dragging Christians backward to land, bloodline, Jerusalem, and national promises, then accuse anyone who points back to Christ of “ignoring the Old Testament.”

No.

We're reading the Old Testament through the One it was pointing to.

The Old Testament points forward to Christ.

Your system keeps pointing backward from Christ to the shadows.

And calling that Christ-centered reading a “doctrine of Satan” is beyond reckless. It's an absolutely insane, antichristic inversion of the entire argument.

"Christ-centered = A DOCTRINE OF SATAN!" - < You just said the quiet part out loud.

^ Your theology on display for all to see. "Christ-centered = A DOCTRINE OF SATAN!"

I’d tell you to repent, but you’ve already made it painfully clear which direction your theology is pointing.

And while you're at it, show us all where the apostles tell Christians to make ethnic Israel, earthly land, and Jerusalem the controlling center of the New Covenant.

Book. Chapter. Verse.

Most of the OT doesn't need interpreting. Except for when someone doesn't like what the Bible says. Lots of Bible choppers in 'Christian' forums!

You just keep proving the argument again and again.

You keep taking Christ and forcing Him back underneath the categories that were supposed to point TO HIM.

That is inverted Christianity.

The Christian order is:

Moses → Christ
Prophecy → Christ
Promise → Christ
Shadow → Christ
Israel → its Messiah

Your system keeps reversing it:

Christ → Moses
Christ → land
Christ → bloodline
Christ → Jerusalem
Christ → national Israel

You're not allowing Christ to interpret the Old Testament.

You're demanding that the Old Testament remain the controlling lens through which Christ Himself must be interpreted.

Thats the inversion.

Yes, Jesus is the King of Israel.

So who defines Israel?

THE KING.

And what did the King Himself say?

“My kingdom is not of this world.” — John 18:36

Not:

“My kingdom is defined by modern borders.”

Not:

“My covenant people are identified by geography.”

Not:

“Find the right country on a map and you’ve found My kingdom.”

Not dirt.

Not genealogy.

Not a twentieth-century state.

Not your prophecy chart.

Paul already told you:

“They are not all Israel who are of Israel.” — Romans 9:6

Jew and Gentile are made “one new man” in Christ — Ephesians 2:15

“If you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed.” — Galatians 3:29

Peter calls Christians:

“a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation… God’s people.” — 1 Peter 2:9–10

So when you answer a Christ-centered argument by screaming:

“BUT ISRAEL! BUT THE LAND! BUT JERUSALEM!”

you're demonstrating the very problem.

The King defines the people.
The people do not define the King.

Christianity moves forward from Moses into Christ.

Your system keeps trying to drag Christ backward underneath Moses.

That's not fulfillment.

That's inverted Christianity.

And if you'd like to see a MASTER of inverted Christianity in action, scroll up a little.
He's right up there... ^ you can't miss him.
He's got a big old grin going.

It doesn’t upset me. It proves the point.

You just defined Jesus primarily through ethnic Israel, land, Jerusalem, and national destiny... exactly the categories I said your system keeps forcing back over Christ.

Yes, Jesus is King of Israel.

So the King defines Israel.

The problem is not that I deny Christ.

The problem is that you keep defining Christ by the land and the people instead of defining the people by Christ.

Does it upset you that Israel is mentioned over 2500 times in the Bible? Better get used to it. Jesus is the God of Israel!

Nobody is upset that “Israel” appears thousands of times in Scripture.

The dispute is over what the apostles say Israel means after Christ.

If you went back to the apostolic Church and told them that a secular nation-state founded nearly 1,900 years later would become the controlling definition of “Israel” for Christians, they would ask you where Christ or the apostles ever taught such a thing.

And you couldn’t show them by simply reading the text. Not one verse.

So there you’d be, standing in front of the apostolic Church explaining a twentieth-century geopolitical state, 1948, future land promises, and your prophecy charts to men who learned Christianity before your system even existed. They’d probably have thrown you into irons and an asylum.

They'd have had no idea what you were even talking about and would've regarded the whole system as completely foreign to Christianity and probably demonic.

But that doesn't even dawn on you...

Which is absolutely terrifying.

Almost as terrifying as you wanting to call it “Christianity."

And if you went into the whole “Jesus was really talking about us in 1920, not to the people standing in front of Him; ‘this generation’ didn’t mean this generation; and Christ was somehow mistaken about the timing of His own prophecy” routine, they would've completely lost their minds and probably have branded you possessed right there on the spot.

Believe me, I know. I read them every day.
