O S I M
No! God was saying that He was pleased with the results of His work!
Sure.
The KNOWLEDGE of GOOD came by way of
******* God *******
God IS GOOD.
Adam was learning Directly from God,
Before they ate from the forbidden Tree.
the same tree that made them to be EVIL. So, if you are going to say that they were "good" before they ate of that tree,
Scripture said it:
Gen 1:
[
31] And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was
very good.
I agree with Scripture.
The "Knowledge" of Good "And" Evil commenced AFTER they ate from the Forbidden tree.
What it reveals is:
God provides.
God makes.
God is Truth.
Trusting God, result is Favorable.
Trusting what Opposes God is Unfavorable.
Consequences: Good and Bad for choices.
Knowledge of Good AND Evil Forward now... requires Choices.
then you are going to have to say that they were "evil" also, before they ate of it.
No, Because pryor, they were Only being taught Directly By One Good Source...
God..
The fruit of that tree wasn't JUST evil, it was both "good" and "evil".
Correct... a Different Source: A tree.
Knowledge of Good and Evil.
You can't have one without the other.
God is One (Good), Without the Other (Evil).
God Has the Knowledge of Both, yet He is Not Both.
The lesson is:
Mankind NOW (since that day) has the Knowledge of both...
And dependent upon a man's CHOICES...
dictates what that man Shall BE.
Now, prior to their fall, they had NO knowledge of good or evil,
No. They had Gods Word Directly unto them, and the enjoyment of Good and pleasant things to enjoy in Comfort: without their own Effort.
therefore they were innocent, which means having no knowledge of good or evil.
No. They were not Innocent.
They had All their Needs and Comforts Provided...without their own Effort (labor).
They made a CHOICE...
Their Choice...(was not to do or be Evil)
Their Choice...(was to DO what they were Commanded to NOT Do)
The Knowledge revealed:
is it IS Evil to go Against God.
Going Against God:
Will result in an Unfavorable Consequence.
Gen 2:
[
16] And the LORD God commanded the man, saying,
Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
[
17]
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
They had ONE forbation....ONE!
Even as they were being prepared with clothing.. They could have Reached out and plucked and ATE the Fruit from:
the TREE of LIFE...that was in the Garden and FREELY Given them TO EAT.
Gen 3:
[
22] And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and
now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
^ They Didn't eat of the Tree of LIFE!
Consequence? They Shall Surely DIE.
Did They? Yes.
(Gen 5:
[
5] And all the days that
Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years:
and he
died. )
Gen 3:
[
23] Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
[
24] So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
Nothing has Changed...
All of mankind has choices...
The Consequences for a man's choices is dependent upon his own individual Choices.
Choose Good, man will be WITH God.
Choose Evil, man Will be Against and WITHOUT God.
Matt: 12
[
30] He that is
not with me is
against me;
Glory to God,
Taken
