God is not willing that any should perish, right, and God's Will gets done, so the predestination argument is generally put in the wrong frame imo
I'm not a Calvinist.
God calls all.
But one must reply.

P.S. My point was, how do we know who's right?

All the 10 commandments.
Even the secular world lives by them.
They are absolute truths, not situational truths.
They never change.
Murder will always be wrong.
Stealing is always wrong.
etc.
so you say, but those are opinions, not truths wadr. the commandment is "thou shalt not kill," but you kill every time you eat. Or people are killed every day. So the commandment is an ideal, but it is not truth, it is law.

stealing a loaf of bread if you are starving is understood, etc.

i know the wolves came in, as soon as Paul left, not sparing the flock...so i'll stick with Word, and refer to Scripture. Although the Didache might be wonderful, ok, i do not know it
Look it up. I think you'd like it.
Also, if we want to be honest, the early Christians kept a lot of wolves out of the church. The gnostics come to mind since they were the biggest in number, but so many others too.

I didn't say KILL
I said MURDER

I do know that even in churches there is political stuff going on.
I know this from experience and from seeing it with others.
bada bing, tyvm
Financial, yeah, I guess so. It costs money to run churches.
I guess that's what you mean...
yes; it costs money to run "churches," but it does not cost money to operate the Church. churches can go bankrupt, also; but the Church cannot go bankrupt. Runners of churches sign financial agreements with governments, creating conflicts of interests; none of which apply to Church

The Catholic church has its doctrines, just like any church does.
Jimmy Swaggart says you don't have the Holy Spirit indwelling if you don't speak in tongues.
Mr. Ceflo Dollar says I'm never supposed to get sick and I'm supposed to be rich.
Joseph Prince tells me I'm not even supposed to ask for forgiveness for every sin because they've already all been forgiven. (He might have changed his mind recently- not sure) and that I don't have to obey the law because I love God and my faith will save me. Which it does, but some stuff comes after my salvation.
i know the wolves will come in, not sparing the flock, yes

"religious"
According to Webster Christianity is a religion.
According to me it's a way of life.
Different from every other religion but you wouldn't agree because you don't think Jesus is God. So it's just another religion to you.

But the universal, or catholic, church kept them out.
Arius for one.
If it weren't for them, there would be no Christianity today as we know it.
I do appreciate this.
I also know all the bad that was done.
Evil lurks everywhere.

what you bind here is bound there, and what you loose here is loosed there. So, you, the man on the ground, in the now.

i am assured that eating my vegetables will make my quality of life better, i'll be healthier, life extended, yada yada; an Eskimo never eats or even sees a veggie in his life. Who is right?

yes, the RCC is not the Catholics in it, i agree. But then i guess this is true of any church
Sure.
That's why one church has a small C
and the other Church has a capital C. The Body of Christ...

The church is just a bldg made of bricks that has to be managed.
The bigger they are, probably the more corruption...

ha, i wouldn't be too quick to condemn Gnostics, they seem to be alive and well. "Early Christians" also preached that one should confess/profess/get saved/baptized right before they die, too, lol
