Where does it say that the apostles send other apostles? Just because one is sent, does not mean he can send others.

Rev 21:14" And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb."
Jesus called them.

Those you call apostles are apostles sent by your church. Many churches have people they sent to do evangelistic works.

acts 1:15-26

also Jn 20:21 as the father sent me, I send you

Same mission power and authority as Christ

Christ sent apostles so the apostles send apostles

Behold I am with you (the apostles) until the end of the world,so the successors of the apostles must remain until the end of the world) matt 28:19

So there must be successors to the apostles, the USA was not a nation for 1800 years after the apostles, yet He says teach all nations!

The nations still need to be taught, disciples still need to be baptized and the church the new covenant kingdom of christ still needs to be governed!

They renamed the goddess Venus to Mary, and Venus' child, Cupid, to Jesus to "Christianize" the pagans beliefs in a goddess and child. Jesus called this abomination of a goddess, Jezebel. Would Jesus call His own mother, Jezebel. You have turned Mary into a GODDESS.

Immaculate Conception, Roman Catholic dogma asserting that Mary, the mother of Jesus, was preserved free from the effects of the sin of Adam (usually referred to as “original sin”) from the first instant of her conception.

Here is the Rosary. Look at all the Hail Mary's! And you don't believe your church hasn't turned her into more important than Jesus? The RCC has her as "our hope" and "advocate" which ONLY belongs to Jesus. 1 John 2:1. Look at the last line of this below: The Coronation of Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth. WHERE IS THAT IN THE BIBLE?

How to recite the Holy Rosary
1. SAY THESE PRAYERS...
IN THE NAME of the Father, and of the
Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. (As you
say this, with your right hand touch your
forehead when you say Father, touch your
breastbone when you say Son, touch your
left shoulder when you say Holy, and touch
your right shoulder when you say Spirit.)
I BELIEVE IN GOD, the Father almighty,
Creator of Heaven and earth. And in Jesus
Christ, His only Son, our Lord, Who was
conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the
Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate;
was crucified, died, and was buried. He
descended into Hell. The third day He rose
again from the dead. He ascended into
Heaven, and sits at the right hand of God,
the Father almighty. He shall come again to
judge the living and the dead. I believe in
the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church,
the communion of saints, the forgiveness of
sins, the resurrection of the body, and life
everlasting. Amen.
OUR FATHER, Who art in Heaven,
hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom
come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in
Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive
those who trespass against us. And lead us
not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.
HAIL MARY, full of grace, the Lord is
with thee. Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us
sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
GLORY BE to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the
beginning is now, and ever shall be, world
without end. Amen.
O MY JESUS, forgive us our sins, save us
from the fires of Hell; lead all souls to
Heaven, especially those in most need of
Thy mercy. Amen.
HAIL HOLY QUEEN, mother of mercy;
our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To
thee do we cry, poor banished children of
Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs,
mourning and weeping in this vale of tears.
Turn, then, most gracious advocate, thine
eyes of mercy toward us. And after this, our
exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy
womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet
Virgin Mary. Pray for us, O holy Mother of
God, that we may be made worthy of the
promises of Christ. Amen.
O GOD, WHOSE only-begotten Son by
His life, death and resurrection, has
purchased for us the rewards of eternal life;
grant, we beseech Thee, that by meditating
upon these mysteries of the Most Holy
Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may
imitate what they contain and obtain what
they promise, through the same Christ our
Lord. Amen.
ANNOUNCE each mystery by saying
something like, “The third Joyful Mystery is
the Birth of Our Lord.” This is required only
when saying the Rosary in a group.

Who has the authority to interpret scripture?

Interpretation provides meaning!

Meaning provides understanding!

Understanding produces unity!

Examples:

Text: a Fat sandwich man.

What does it mean: a fat man making sandwiches?

Or does it mean: a man making fat sandwiches?

No Hurry:

Does it mean we don’t have time so hurry up?

Or does it mean we got lots of time?

Seven spirits of God:

Does it mean there are seven holy spirits?
Or the seven gifts of the spirit?

Seven churches:

Does it mean there are seven churches?

Or the one church at seven different locations?

Jn 3:5 born again by water and the spirit.

Does it mean “faith alone”? “Accept Jesus as your personal lord and savior”?

Or does it mean the Christian sacrament of baptism?

the church existed before the NT
The church wrote the NT
The scriptures are the possession of the church!
The church alone has authority to interpret scripture and provide meaning, understanding and unity of faith!

Anyone who reads it has the authority.

The standard for correct interpretation is the Torah and the Prophets.

Those things that were written before were written for our learning. - Paul

The folks who are unlearned in them twist them to their own destruction. - Peter

We don't need folks who were willing to burn people alive to tell us what God thinks.

Their track record is appalling. Their interpretations are nonsense. They have made themselves wealthy by exploiting the common man. Jesus hates that.

@1stCenturyLady Yes, sad. Good to get back to Scripture simplicity...

oh he did that
I wondered
There are 150 Hail Mary’s in the traditional rosary

same as the number of psalms

With meditation on the life death and resurrection of Jesus

Hail Mary! Full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women,
Lk 1:28 blessed is the fruit of thy womb, (Jesus) Lk 1:42 Holy Mary, mother of God, Lk 1:43 pray for us sinners, now,
rev 5:8 and at the hour of our death, Matt 24:13 amen!

No, Christ is sending apostle in the above-. It does not say what you say it does.
Your reasoning is faulty.

I'm not Catholic, so you won't accept my interpretation, so what does the RCC say is the reason?

thick black scales
Spiritual pride
Spiritual blindness
Spiritual anarchy

the remedy?
The blinding light of Jesus Christ!

as the father sent me, I send you!

the same
No difference

Christ has authority
The apostles have authority

Christ makes successors
the Apostles make successors

Matt 28:19 teach all nations

how? The original apostles can’t live for 2000 yrs so there must be

Jesus Christ extends his mission, power, and authority to His church of His apostles!

Even His judging!
Matt 19:28
His teaching authority!
Matt 28:19 and Jn 20:21
His power to forgive sins!
Jn 20:23
His being the light of the world!
Matt 5:14
His ministry of reconciliation!
2 cor 5:18
His authority in governing the church and administering the kingdom!
Matt 16:18-19 & 18:18 Jn 21:17
Lk 22:29
Apart from me you can do nothing. Jn 15:5
So the church is subject to Christ!
Eph 5:24

Jesus Christ continues HIS ministry in His new covenant church thru Peter, the apostles, and their successors with the same mission, power, and authority!
Mt 16:18 Mt 28:19 Matt 18:17 Acts 1:17 acts 8:31 & 35 acts 9:4 Lk 10:16 Jn 8:32 Jn 13:20 Jn 15:5 Jn 16:13 Jn 20:21-22 eph 2:20 acts 2:42 1 Tim 3:15

@Bob Carabbio Scripture and the Holy Spirit accord with one another... :)

then you reject the “Bible alone”

what about a disagreement on the meaning of scripture

Such as being born again

see below

Interpretation provides meaning!

Meaning provides understanding!

Understanding produces unity!

Examples:

Text: a Fat sandwich man.

What does it mean: a fat man making sandwiches?

Or does it mean: a man making fat sandwiches?

Jn 3:5 born again by water and the spirit.

Does it mean “faith alone”? “Accept Jesus as your personal lord and savior”?

Or does it mean the Christian sacrament of baptism?

Only the church who wrote the scripture in the first place has authority from Christ to interpret scripture!

HOWEVER, The Holy Spirit doesn't necessarily agree with Man's Denominational, or Personal INTERPRETATION of Scripture, and we're both aware of that, I'm sure.

then you reject the doctrine of the “Bible alone”!

Jesus assigned a faithful slave to shepherd the congregation giving them the food as it is revealed to them. So interpretations come through them. But, yes but, you have the final authority in interpretation, as you are accountable on it. As you can see, Eve was given a command and satan interpreted it differently than did God, therefore Eve accepted someone else's interpretation, yet she was held accountable. So what I am saying you are the final authority on interpretation, no matter what anyone says, you are accountable, so make sure of all things, hold fast to what is fine 1 Thes 5:21
Hey Robert,

YOU say that each individual person has "the final authority in interpretation, as you are accountable on it". But Scripture says to "Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you." And that there are some things in Scripture that are "hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction."

It seems what you are saying is opposite of what Scripture says. Can you explain?

Same answer as before: THE HOLY SPIRIT!!!!
John 16:13 1 John 2:27
Hey Bob,

You do know that in the passage from John 16 that you referred to Jesus was speaking to his Apostles, and the Apostles only, when he said that? If EVERYONE from NT times to now was guided by the Holy Spirit into the Truth, like you have been taught by your men, then why are there so many "truths"? Is the Holy Spirit confused or are you confused?

Also, let’s take 1 John 2:27 IN CONTEXT: three verses earlier John instructed his readers to “let what you heard from the beginning abide in you” and “if what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you will abide in the Son and in the Father” (1 John 2:24). If John meant for Christians to follow only their personal testimony of the Spirit then he would be contradicting himself in verse 24. The instruction to let what they’ve heard abide in them implies they received instruction from men. Two chapters later, he instructs his readers that listening to the apostles is the criterion for discerning the spirit of truth from the spirit of error: “We are of God. Whoever knows God listens to us, and he who is not of God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error” (1 John 4:6). Add to that 2 Peter 3:16 and Hebrews 13:17 and I hope you can see that the theory you have been taught by your men is bankrupt. But at least you have @Cassandra who likes your theory.
