He didn't refer to himself, nor a Ghost...
John 17:3 "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent". the Lord Jesus was reference himself in and out of flesh by the conjunction "and". which is the diversity of himself.
So then, if you're right- why did he leave himself and the Ghost out?
(PS- your ref to 1 John 5:7 is incorrect)
did you notice the conjunction "AND" in the verse connecting the only true God and the Lord Jesus?.He referred to no "diversity", nor being "flesh". That has been added by CHURCHianity.
Since God SENT him as His Word, His Messenger- it STILL DOES mean Eternal Life to KNOW them.
He didn't refer to himself, nor a Ghost...
He didn't leave himself out actually. In the very same chapter you cited, he refers to himself as being one with the Father as he did several times before. And I have no idea why you bring up 1 John 5:7 because that's not what I referenced.
did you notice the conjunction "AND" in the verse connecting the only true God and the Lord Jesus?.
if you did not and don't agree, please tell me is this the same person or two. listen James 1:27 "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world".
GROSS ERROR, 2 Corinthians 11:31 "The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore, knoweth that I lie not".How could I not?
Two separate beings.
Why not focus on what JESUS said before listening to a Church?
Got my Bible open; let's start at Matt 6- shortly after beginning his ministry~
Matt 6:6- But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Why not "pray to your Father, and to the 'Holy Ghost', and to Me"?
John 17:11-... Holy Father, keep them in thy name, which thou hast given me, that they may be one, even as we are one.
its quite apparent you have no understanding of the Presence of God, of which God is a Spirit, the Power that is God, and the Word of God, of which a Living God can speak. therefore the Presence of God has the Power of God with it and the Word of God has the Power of God with it. therefore God to all that is not of God.
all living creatures even plants have their life, the presence of their life and the expression of their life and presence to any other living thing within their presence. and you don't get the trinity, to bad for you I guess.
if that's not good enough and plain, 2 Corinthians 1:3 "Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort"
one and the same person.
LOL, LOL, LOL, the God of all "COMFORT"? is the Holy Ghost, my. my, my.It does NOT read: "Blessed be the Triune God, the Father and also Jesus Christ, the Father and Son of mercies, and the God of all comfort".
And, as usual, no mention of a Ghost...
