Hello to you, this is my explanation of why did Jesus come to die.

Why did Jesus come to die?

Jesus came as the second Adam to pay the price of sin, that way that God through His Word, was able to reconcile the world back unto himself.


Jesus was foretold to becoming also by the prophets of old, also Jesus brought forth judgement on the nation of Israel, Jesus was coming to fulfill the law of Moses, and the prophets , for those people then in that time.


The reason why? Because in the Old Testament people would sacrifice, to God to have their sins covered for a year. They did it in accordance of what they were told to do by the Law that pertain for sin offering and covering. Jesus had came to fulfill that law and all the priesthood and the circumcision and do away with all of these things.


Why? So that God sending Jesus showed his love by sending his own son to die on the cross, by the judgement of the people of the nation of Israel who desired to kill because of envy.


To die for the ungodly. God desired for sin to be paid for and took care for all people, and God was pleased, by the sacrifice of the Sons precious blood that covered all of sin, for all people whether they believed or they did not believe. (In that day however the wrath of God would come upon those who killed the Son of God - keep that in mind).


Sin had been paid for, right there on the cross by the death of Jesus for all of the world.


Why? That sin would be eradicated, including Satan and his demons, death, hell/Sheol, separation from God, and wrath would be poured out on the nation of Israel, in which Jesus had warned them about, which could come about after he had resurrected and went and sat down at the right hand of God.


In which Jesus then proceeds onward in the Bible directive to giving everything back the Father had given to Him, so that God may be all in all, to me all in Christ - the Lord God Almighty. - the fullness of God. Along with have gathering the bridegroom of that day in age back then when Jesus said he would have returned.


Why is all of this?


That God and man can have relationship, by faith in Jesus Christ, and have hope, joy, peace, love, kindness, gentleness, forgiveness, mercy, communication with God.


You are given the Holy Spirit because of faith in the Gospel of Christ. You can ask God to help you by the Holy Spirit. God cares for you, he loves you, he desires to hear from you in prayer about your family, friends, enemies, problems and issues.


God helps us in our lives pertaining with sin/fleshly desires and thoughts that come and are filtered through our carnal thoughts, reading the Bible can help renew the mind and change to having a heavenly mindset.


All of these things are freely given now because of faith in Christ, He paid for your sin. What you do about that information is up to you. He has paid for sin, and defeated the devil, Satan, death, Sheol, hades and he has had the complete victory. He can be trusted, he is faithful, he is not a liar. God also can be trusted he is faithful, he is not a liar, and no darkness lies within him.

But I know of no scripture that says that Jesus paid for our sins. Maybe you can point me in the right direction? That seems to mean that the sins we continue to commit are already paid for. I hope that is not what you believe. That would be clearly wrong, but you would not be the only person who believes that doctrine. What denomination did you hear that doctrine?

I do see scriptures that clearly says that Jesus died to free us from our sin, even the sin nature itself so that we no longer sin.

My suggestion would be to take a look through this extensive list of scriptures pertaining to Christ Jesus. When you go to the website scroll down until you see Blood of; Atonement.

Be encouraged to take this course and study for yourself and learn with God and his guidance to the scripture.

There are a few:
1 Corinthians 6:20 KJV
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

1 Corinthians 7:23 KJV
Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.

2 Peter 2:1 KJV
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

Ephesians 1:14 KJV
Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Furthermore, as MatthewG suggested, Galatians 3:13, 4:5, Titus 2:14 and 1 Peter 1:18-19 speak of being redeemed by Christ.

As far as I am concerned, these verses are pretty undeniable: they show that Christ did pay/buy/purchase/ redeem us. I am also fully persuaded that these verses speak of all sin, not just past sins.

I am giving you scriptures that you possibly have never heard of before. Study for yourself, because what you are saying is not in the Bible. The Bible has to be our foundation. Memorize these and compare them with what your are hearing from the pulpit.

What you are giving me is a huge misinterpretation of God's grace. Jude 1:4 turning the grace of God into lasciviousness.

1) It destroyed the workings of Satan. 2) Only our past sins were cleansed upon repentance and becoming a Christian, and the Spirit of Christ was given to sin no more - NOT to let you keep on sinning .


1 John 3:8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.

2 Peter 1:9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.

1 John 1:9 and Acts 2:38 - the same message from two different apostles. This repentance is to receive the Holy Spirit, not to be used over and over as we keep sinning.

9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (Those are only past sins.)
28 “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

a) The sins we continue to commit are already paid for.

1 John 3:5-6a And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. 6 Whoever abides in Him does not sin.

Which denomination did you hear your doctrine from?

The Bible I'm quoting. Do you just let your teachers do all your Bible study? What denomination do you let teach you?

The Bible says so. This is why we must be born again and filled with the Holy Spirit of Christ. That happened to me on 7/9/77.

Romans 6:6-7
6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. 7 For he who has died has been freed from sin.

If I willfully sin, then Paul is lying. I confirm he's not lying.

My Bible says that Jesus was the only person to ever live a sinless life.

He was the first, but not the only.

Romans 8:29-30
29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. (Those are all past tense. But these are only for those who are born again. 1 John 5:18 We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keepsa]" himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.)

what state would the world be in now?

Would there even be any faith in God at all?

They closed down our churches. Prevented people from assembling. Said even singing hymns could kill people.
And most people went along out of FEAR.
What if there hadn't been a vaccine created for the next 10 years?
Would they have kept us shuddered and seperated?
Look what their doing to our kids. They are warping their minds to believe that living in Sodom and Gomorrah is good, and if you don't go along with it, your the problem. They tried pushing parents out of education. They took prayer out a long time ago. That was the beginning.
Then removing the 10 commandments from court houses and other public buildings, because it offended some people.

All of this would have continued and been continuing for the last 2000 years.

Would we even know a God existed?
Would we have become like the hebrews in Egypt who didn't even know his name?

With God reconciling the world, through Christ. God is no longer angry at the world! What a wonderful notion, and one of hope and also rest and assured in that God does love everyone! Even people who want the 10 commands and prayer out of school. God still ultimately loves them, and desires for them to come to the truth and into the light.

What great news is the good news today for us ? To be able to learn about God and learn about Jesus, and to know we are sons or daughter of God when we have faith and have love for God and love for others being guided and walking by the spirit.

Bearer of light are you for Christ, let’s give praise and thankfulness, and live by the Christian principles founded in the Bible. Such as forgive our enemy, love our neighbor, doing things with our grumbling or complaining, having compassion, and mercy, patience, and long suffering all on the individual efforts decision or judgement.

It sure would of been a sin had we forgotten God.
Many had. And the world was going headlong into total and complete darkness.
Rome controlled the temple in Jerusalem. They put in their own people.. kind of like a coup.
Kind of like exactly what is happening today.
There's a whole lot of people that are chasing this darkness down a broad path.
I don't believe they even suspect they are being led into it.
"Father forgive them for they know not what they do"

I was thinking about Jacob. God had told Jacob not to go to Egypt. But there was a great famine in the land. And they were out of food.
Now God had sent Joseph ahead to prepare for the people. Because God knows that when the people's bellies are hungry, they do whatever to survive. Even disobeying God.
It's always hunger, always food that leads one into captivity. (we are headed for a physical famine in the near future, so don't be caught off guard)
So Joseph he manages to keep peace in the land, until a time when a Pharoah who doesn't know God plunges everyone into darkness.
400 years later, right on schedule God sends Moses to free his people.
Pharoah, well he don't know God, the hebrews have lost sight of God, and God comes and shows himself to Pharoah to his face.

I suspect, if history repeats itself, as it usually does, unless God intervenes, then this world we are living in will also plunge into a deep darkness and forgetfulness of God.
But there are still some that have faith. Real faith. And they will do everything they can to extinguish us.
And we will do everything to keep that light alive.
I have no fear. I know the plan. I trust God, no matter how dark it gets, He will always be my light in a dark place.

What is sin?
And how can there be sin if there is no law?
What if there were no laws and everything was in chaos?
Does removing laws take away the penalty for being bad?
Did Jesus come to save sinners?
Did the sinners know who Jesus was before he made himself known to them?

I think it's different this time though.
The last time God gave Moses the law he wrote it in a book.
This time God wrote his law in our hearts and minds.
We have no excuse to not know right from wrong.

And you rightfully admitted that they are there. Now, here is what you said right after that particular quote:

Now that I have shown you that Jesus did indeed pay for our sins, do you still feel that the sins we continue to commit are already paid for? Because before I showed you the verses, you didn't seem to believe he paid for any of them.

As for your verses in post #7, I am very familiar with all of them. With the exception of one of them (from 2 Peter 1) none of them ever say "past sins". They just note sins, except in one verse which says we are cleanse of ALL unrighteousness. It doesn't say "all past unrighteousness" (like you suggested in that post); it says all unrighteousness. That would mean past, present and future. All means all unless a condition is placed upon it, which isn't the case.

I am also familiar with many verses that surround the verses you quoted within the chapter and letter. They say things like, "...sin not, but if any man does sin we have an advocate with the Father...". They say things like if we say we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves.

I can also point to alot of other verses which say we are not under the law, where there is no law there is no sin, that all things are lawful (but not expedient) and that our sins are covered (present tense) and God will not impute sin (that's future tense).

That is also a reason, to reveal the invisible God through the Word made flesh, Jesus.

I’m not so sure any Americans/Australia had anything to do with the partaking of Jesus Christ death though.

I do remember this 1 Thessalonians 2:13-16

This murder was a judgment submitted by The nation of Israel and on behalf of this murder, their own sins were paid for by his bloodshed. However if they did not repent the wrath of God was going to come upon them then in that day, in Israel.

I was astonished that he meant not just our past sins, but also sins we continue to commit.

Jesus came to take away our sin nature we inherited from Adam. The Holy Spirit then gives us the same nature that Christ had. That is our spirit becoming born again - from Adam to Christ.
