When it comes to crisis and tragedy people follow predictable patterns.

They say: "our hearts and prayers go out to the victims".

They never say: "what can we do to prevent tragedies like this from happening in the future"?

They never say: "what can we learn, what can we change, what better choices can we make to improve things."

Why do we not invest more time and energy in crisis education and prevention?

People contribute to emergency situations through the various aid agencies. Those that can and are qualified go into the disaster zones with all sorts of aid - food, water, medicine, shelter, clothes and blankets and even search dogs etc. There are always teams of firefighter from the UK going into these troubled places, but war is different.

What has surprised me over the war between Israel and Gaza is that millions seems to be protesting about what is happening in Gaza - which is horrendous - but I haven't heard anybody protest about what the Gaza/Hamas terrorists did to Israel.

A lot of people have addiction to negativity and complaining about things to vent frustrations and anger. Not too many people look for solutions to the problems. Most are happy to just complain and attack people. Hate is addictive.

Sometimes I think people go to far too prevent tragedies. During the pandemic they closed businesses and schools. Some businesses didn't survive and kids got very bad educations.
