Big Bro! and political correctness! fed to us day in day out.
If they say something that's just trash again and again year after year eventually people will just accept it, even if they knew it was wrong to start with. we are bombarded with the TV ect brain washing people with trash every day it's just like a sewer pipe coming in to your lounge room.
It's all the work of the Devil.

What must i do to gain eternal life? yes! Jesus said it.
Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with thy whole heart, whole Soul, whole strength, whole mind and love thy neighbour as thy self.

Get rid of your TV.

I haven't had a TV for 2 and 1/2 years and I have never missed it.

Simple, religion keeps people in bondage, and thats what governments want, what better place to control the masses, the devil uses it and most people wouldnt even have a clue.

It is impossible to refute conspiracy theories. I used to work in a mental institution and my clients always had a reason for their delusions, not matter how far you questioned them, they were never backed into a corner or lacked an answer for why they were actually born on Mars or why the black helicopters were sent by the Russians (who actually ran the CIA and controlled the weather) after them personally.

So that article on the Russian Orthodox Church's website is hoax? It was just made up, right? Those religious leaders aren't really meeting at Moscow summits at all, are they? And what they espouse has nothing to do with politics and inter-faith joining for the endtimes, right? Wrong! That's exactly what it's about. Political control of Religion.

I quite watching TV over 30 years ago when I traveled overseas.

"We need to build a world order which combines democracy – as the way of harmonizing different interests and as people’s participation in national and global decision-making..."

It's not really about Religion. It's about control of Religion for POLITICAL PURPOSES.

One of the realities of all orthodox churches is that they are nationalistic and are therefore intertwined with the governments of the countries they belong too - I thought everyone knew that. Also, just because we have separation of church and state in the US doesn't mean other countries have it.

Sounds like you're condoning state control over religion, which is exactly what that article is about. The Russian Orthodox Church in Russia is controlled by the state, which is why the socialist state goes after Christians that refuse to be a part of it. That is not Christianity, that is state Socialist politics. This is why so many Christians in Communist Russia and Communist China are being persecuted for holding Bible meetings in their homes. They haven't the right to free assembly.

Per our U.S. Constitution, with the Bill Of Rights, 1st Amendment, etc., much of that came about because of past religious persecution in Europe by the state. Our Constitution was written to protect religious freedom, not allow the state have control over it.

Americans who can't understand what that article is about obviously don't realize what even their rights are per the U.S. Constitution.

Nice try Veteran - lol

Unfortunately, your example doesn't take into account that all Eastern Orthodox Church operate in the same manner, regardless of the form of government they operate under. They are by nature nationalistic - one of the problem with not recognizing the Pope. Oh and the irony wasn't wasted on me - criticizing the Orthodox church, while living in a country where the Republican party is married to conservative Christianity and has it's own 24 hour propaganda machine on radio and cable - Good One!

My how things have changed in 50 years - Americans used to fear that Catholics answered to the Pope (Kennedy) instead of being loyal to America - now Eastern Orthodox Churches are being criticized for being nationalistic.........

Sorry Veteran, but Despotism and Eastern Orthodox Churches do not come in a box set.

BTW, I appreciated the part of your post about people who 'can't understand what the article is about'; It made your post so much more fun to read!
