I believe that it is because the binding of satan is not a iteral binding unlike the banishing out of heaven which was literal.

It is the message of revelation chapter 20 that matters not the minor details and the message is that the great chain (the power of the gospel) is what binds satan from deceiving the nations. Satan is now confined to this world and the darkness of this world there is no escape for him.

The message is also that Jesus doesn't reign because satan is bound Jesus reigns because of who He is.

In Isaiah 24:21-22 we are told that the judged heavenly hosts that are found wanting and the Kings of the earth with their armies that have been inhabiting the judged heavenly hosts' respective domains will be gathered together on the face of the earth to be imprisoned in the "cistern/Bottomless pit for many days to await the time of their punishment.

Here is the scripture as it is presently poorly translated IMHO: -

As can be seen, not only is Satan imprisoned in the Bottomless Pit, but all of his fallen angels that are with him are also imprisoned, and this includes the four beasts of Daniel 7:1-12 and also the Little Horn. In Revelation 18:8 we are told that the beast, which is the amalgamation of the four individual beasts of 7:1-12 now acting in unison, rises up out of the Bottomless Pit and will then go to perdition, i.e. the lake of fire. In Revelation 13:11 we are told that the False Prophet Beast rises up out of the earth. This beast is none other than the Little Horn of Daniel 7 and 8.

Also in Revelation 9 we are told of the locusts that rise up out of the Bottomless pit which had just been opened after the 1,000 years of their imprisonment had been completed, when the Bottomless Pit was unlocked to release them from their confinement and the king over them was Satan from the Bottomless Pit as he had not yet risen up out of the pit until the locusts the beast and the False Prophet had prepared the way for Satan to come to claim his statue as a deity over the peoples of the earth.

As such the premise for this thread is false as Satan is not the only entity that is imprisoned in the Bottomless pit.

I do not see a transfer from sheol to Death, but both hold the souls they are supposed to until the GWT. I can see the pit still being opened, and the souls remain in it, while those 1/3rd of the angels are loosed between the 5th and 7th Trumpets.

Revelation 20:1-3 & 7

And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain.2 He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.3 He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time.

7 When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison

Why is it only satan who is bound and released as he is only a single fallen angle and can only be in one place at a time?


What about his legion of fallen angles why are not mentioned as being bound as they are mentioned as being kicked out of heaven?

Revelation 12:7-9

7 Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back.8 But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven.9 The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

What is the purpose of satan being bound in the pit if his fallen angles are still around to carry on his evil work?

I believe that it is because the binding of satan is not a iteral binding unlike the banishing out of heaven which was literal.

It is the message of revelation chapter 20 that matters not the minor details and the message is that the great chain (the power of the gospel) is what binds satan from deceiving the nations. Satan is now confined to this world and the darkness of this world there is no escape for him.

The message is also that Jesus doesn't reign because satan is bound Jesus reigns because of who He is.

Satan is "Currently" bound from "One Specific Purpose", And One Only?
