Romans 6:11 (NASB20)
So you too, consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
‘consider yourself to be dead to sin’
In this view point of one of oneself will the freedom from sin be found…. For it is in being a doer of the word that will set one free…. For scripture is not vain when it says it holds the truths of being set free from sin… Which is for the heart that would be willing to be a doer of the word… And just what is that word?
‘consider yourself, etc..’
This is the position before God that puts one in total dependency on Him… This considering or reckoning, this counting one as being dead to sin… Sin is not dead, it is very much alive as any heart can testify to… To that sin that is still very much alive scripture instructs one to consider themselves dead to it… Though sin may rant and rave all around a dead man, that dead man is incapable of responding to it… This is the freedom from sin a believer has… As free as a dead man is….
This frees one from sin but one’s salvation doesn’t stop there, there is the blessings from above coming to the heart that would consider itself dead to sin… And that is the alive to God part, which part is the receiving from above this newness of life… One follows the other as naturally as God being good…
For God is good, and the freedom from sin offered is real, is to be experienced by all those that are His… Which freedom will forever be found in the being a doer of the word that God speaks… And that word is ••••••
Be blessed all as God speaks the word of freedom to the heart that would be willing to hear… For all the words on a page mean nothing till the heart hears from above…
Be blessed in Him, Not me
