If God adopts people into his family, he can also allow the dissolution from a person having a failed adoption. And they just go back to their carnal nature, and stay there until they decide to come back again. God never forces anyone to stay in a relationship with him, while it's almost unknownable why a person would give up on faith... it seems Jesus gives many reasons why that could be.

Amadeus, it is very possible to fall away from faith all together, which is different than babes in Christ, who struggle with the flesh and the spirit, and still need milk and go to meat as they mature, walking by faith, and walking in the spirit.

The Bible has a whole - one wouldn't be able to Once Saved, Always Saved at face value.

A relationship requires to people, God is always calling and listening by the spirit - but it up to us to reach out and pray and ask him and talk to him, and to read and learn and grow in him.

That is why the writer of hebrews wrote,

Jesus said 20 The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. 21 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.

Even Hebrews wrote about people falling away, but God still calls out to them, and loves them...

To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.

Well there is debate about whether the rocky ground are saved or not.

But Hebrews 6 is not about saved at all, but people who have heard, tasted and have been illuminated. To make the story short, it is about Jews who were taught that teh Levitical sarificial system could not take sin away.

You can believe what you want to @Ronald Nolette I disagree, but love you either way. There is evidence of people receiving the word with joy for a little while, before falling away cause of no root. Therefore Jesus Christ is telling a truth that some people go after, but after a short time - due to the world - the spirit of disbelief keeps them from going forward due to persecution, even could be because of doubt, trouble.

And as John wrote:

They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

Just because someone acts like a Christian, does not mean they are.

knowledege is information. Faith is putting trust in that information. and the bible clearly informs us that once one is born again- they are secure forever.

Okay, Ronald. Thank you for sharing.

You know while I enjoy the company of other people who come by and share, to argue with other people is a waste of time, as I continue to think more about the notions of how many people are on the internet.

While I still believe people can fall away from faith, those who remain faithful make the choice to do so every single day, and that is what separates those who fall away and those who do not. Perhaps those who fall away still need in encouragement and perhaps one day they will say daily remaining in faith.

Let's try to encourage and support each other rather than try to battle out what we may believe and just support and encourage and refresh other people in the Lord because that is what the Lord Yeshua would desire us to do, and to be kind, and consider each others thoughts.

Maybe you are right, but I would have to disagree and there is a danger in why I am saying that saying to someone once saved always saved, - and they go on about their life not worried about what actions they do, can really effect the rewards they may receive in heaven because all of us will be judged for our good and bad deeds, do you realize that?

Let's understand this. Satan uses false preachers to put people in Bondage. Teaching traditions of men and false doctrine. People are being set up to worship satan as antichrist near future.

Once saved always saved is the biblical truth!

Sin is no longer the issue. Once a person has accepted Christ--all of their sins have been removed.

If a person could lose thier salvation because of sin (and loss of faith is a sin), then Jesus did not die for all the sins of a person.
