Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.” Isaiah 12:2How do you define Salvation?
Depending on how it is used....maybe I can see your point in the first paragraph.
For example: Jesus is my Salvation..[deliverance]
How do I lose Him If I know I can call on Him.
His blood forgives.....[therefore His blood also is my deliverence] how do I lose it if I know How to receive forgiveness]
Also one is sealed with the Spirit[guide,etc]..[how do you lose the Spirit in whom you are sealed with]
But salvation is a life...
It is Life that motivates our works that lead to fruit.
That life is our journey of what we do with Christ. Therefore maybe I can say: it is our walk with Him. Or what we do with Him...
Therefore if you do nothing with Him....where is your life??
So based on this....if the Joy of the Lord is my strengh- therefore my salvation....[protection,confidence, ]
Can you lose salvation if you stop and do nothing?
But then again
Why did the man say restore unto me the Joy of my Salvation?
If He knows who the deliver is.....but does not experience deliverence ...He has not lost God...but deliverence from God....
Rather deliverence is of His conscience of not being restored back into fellowship.
Hence repentance
The people were told if they would turn from their sins and seek God's face then would He hear from heaven and forgive their sins...
They did not lose God....but their fellowship
Let me know what you meant by your first paragraph...
You either walking with Him, or you are not
You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.Psalms 16:11
The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him. The Lord is the strength of his people; he is the saving refuge of his anointed. Psalms 28:7-8
Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.1 Peter 1:8
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Romans 14:7
