I would think that there are preachers that preach OSAS beliefs but they would be ran out on rail around here. Around the world there are dozens of Churches that support homosexuals and homosexual marriage and even abortions...the New Denomination thing.

In my area what I see that is a little odd is people that get re-baptized. It is not common but it is just a matter of not understanding the scriptures. Christian salvation is secure...Christ forgives us if we confess and ask for forgiveness. But you can't make a lifestyle of it and expect to play Christ for a fool. Some say if you sin you are not a Christian or you were not saved to begin with. But the fact is you can be saved and be a Christian, but you are still going to have to face Christ on Judgment Day. And there will be Christians in hell. Christianity is not a ticket to sin.

Willfully sinning is when you turn your back on Christ and you purposely sin because you don't care about Christ and his grace anymore. I believe God will check in with that person to make sure that's what they really want to do, and if it is, they're done. God removes his grace from them and all they have left to look forward to is the judgment of God's enemies.

Or, like ol' ferris, as I see it, it's the need for affirmation in feeling they can bring someone under their sway. Even all this back and forth, well, negative attention is still attention.

I have to ask myself, when someone is so disingenuous in a forum discussion, constantly misrepresenting others, constantly pushing the focus off of Jesus and onto one's self, all the stuff we are seeing, I have to ask myself, what are they getting out of it?

I think the general tenor of someone's posts reveal a lot. There's one poster I have in mind who routinely posts their low opinion of other people's spirituality. I can guess that this person is dealing with feelings of low self worth, and seeks the affirmation of perceiving themself above others spiritually, and thus able to speak from above to tell them their deficit.

Judging others is a self-affirmation for the one who judges themself.

Or mayby, when your one tool is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail?

Straw Man arguing is also a way for someone to get their self-affirmation. For instance, the one who perceives themself unimportant and therefore secondary to others can self-affirm by diverting a discussion away from it's course, and in particular into fallacies or misconceptions. Get everyone chasing their own tails! Run them all in circles!

I always remember something Dr. Laura used to say on the radio, years ago, "When someone tells you who they are, believe them." We can have the tendency to give the benefit of the doubt even to a fault, failing to see what is before our eyes.

Some are sincere, and some are not. And out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. We just need to be wise.

What motivates someone to go to the trouble of conjuring up a Christian belief of sin and sin some more with a reward of heaven.

Hell is a horrible place so I can see an innocent side of this. Soft hearted people that do not want anyone to go to hell. They do not consider the fact that all the evildoers would fill heaven and that they would be spending eternity with all the evil that had lived for the past several thousand years. Soft hearted? I would think that it is not because they are sinful themselves but a lot of times it is because they have children or loved ones that are living sinful lifestyles and they cannot bear the thought of them going to hell.

Then there are those that have other reasons. People have a tendency to do what they want, and they want to do, what they want and not go to hell for it. Kind of like wanting the cake and eat it to thing. Some do not know the Bible real well and they just choose to believe that. But then you have those that put forth the time and effort to cherry pick the Bible to weave their beliefs together.

These people are motivated. The question is, what is the motivating factor? Well I do not think that a lot of them are murders...although Mafia members have a tendency to be religious. So it would be a perfect religious belief for them. I don't think that many are child molesters...even though incest does occur in Christian families. What do we see in the world that would influence someone to risk their souls over. I think the sinful motivation comes from the two most driving forces that we see commonly. That is homosexuality and drugs, or both. Homosexuals are very highly motivated and drug users will literally do anything for drugs.

So this is where we are at with OSAS beliefs. Without the motivation the obvious would be so easy to see for them. Christians are good. Christianity is not a religion of evil. It takes a lot of motivation to dirty a good religion.

It has ties to this new denomination that I speak of which takes social perversions and tries to adjust Christian beliefs to accept them. LGBTQ, drug use, and abortions are the pride of this denomination. And they want to believe they can live these lifestyles and still go to heaven.

The danger is that they would like to see these beliefs incorporated in our schools systems. And then for those that come to Christianity from sinful lifestyles, and are looking for salvation and they run into these people that say they do not need to change, that no matter what they do they are going to heaven as long as they believe in Christ. It is kind of like Satan heading them off at the pass.

Knowledgeable Christians will just laugh at them. But Satan schemes and preys on those less knowledgeable and those that are vulnerable. How many are destined to hell because of those that preach OSAS? It is a reasonably new religious belief, we certainly do not see Christ and Apostles living the sin and sin some more lifestyles. What does the church of Satan preach? Certainly there would be some similarities. It is for sure a horrible and sad thing that this sort walks among us.

The lambs must make our last stand now . Cause what you just wrote about , its flooding all over mainstream churches now .
