My Dear Cooper... WHAT is DREADFUL is the group of believers who would DARE accuse one another of NOT being GOOD ENOUGH... they are the ones who are in SCRIPTURAL error... by adding their filthy rags of behaviour to the BLOOD ATONEMENT. This debate ALWAYS goes the same way... the Legalists ACCUSE the GRACE side of CONDONING sin... of ENCOURAGING SIN... of ABUSING the GRACE of GOD.... of living SINFUL lives themselves... that is what is DREADFUL.... Jesus taught us that HE is GOOD... and that because HE is GOOD...we are invited to follow HIM... THE fruit that comes from GRACE is natural goodness... It flows from a loving and trusting relationship with CHRIST.... however.... the fruit that comes from LEGALISM is this self-sufficient BE GOOD and DO GOOD mentality that births hypocrisy and harsh judgement... It's all in WHO you believe... EITHER Christ paid the penalty for sin... or Cooper did.... and that is a scary thought... LOL
Amen. Only a true believe produced fruit. And not all the time.. And this fruit is not from them. Its from Christ.

What is “dreadful” are people like you that have closed their ears to all reasoning out of the scriptures.

By the way, the good works of unbelievers are filthy rags! Not the good works of the saints:

"Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God." (Romans 6:13)

@Addy you should open your ears and soberly test what we say by the scriptures, not by what men have taught you what “the scriptures mean”.
Sorry

When you go to God and try to add your good works as payment for sin. They are as filthy rags.

You can claim you do not stink all you want. In reality. We all stink. Unless we have the blood of Christ who makes us clean.

The Gospel alone....I believe He is saying is what Jesus did alone..

Yes, you are correct.

The Once Saved Always Saved adherents (the majority of them) are stuck on the part of the gospel that speaks to the lost, Believe only and be saved; they fail to grow in the faith resulting in their infant stomachs not capable of digesting the spiritual meat of the gospel:

"Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin" (1 John 3:9)

This is because the spiritual milk of the word that is supposed to mature them has been poisoned by the traditions of men. And after sometime they read less and less of the Bible and more and more of what their teachers write.

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." (2 Timothy 4:3-4)

We must grow in the faith with the word alone:

"As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby" (1 Peter 2:2)

"That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ" (Ephesians 4:14-15)

I bolded the last part of your post because that’s exactly what I said at post# 3419.

This shows that you didn’t bother reading my post and just knee-jerk replied to me in presumption.

I just made a point my friend. Most who are antiOSAS (NOSAS) teach we maintian our salvation by good works.

I keep forgetting. Your one who thinks we can no longer sin?

Tong2020 said:
The point remains, the gospel is not what you and I should do but is what God had done to save you and me.

The children of God are not citizens of this world, but their citizenship is in heaven. We are God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works. And so, since we will yet be brought home to heaven, we ought to walk in good works. Others say, by doing good works, we will be justified and be saved. But that is wrong, for we have already been saved. Those good works were prepared beforehand by God. He prepared them, exactly for the purpose that we should walk in them.
To save you from what....?
In a word, death.

Because Osasers start with Justication...
Any time they see the term saved it means heaven when you die...

They cannot see that you can be saved from different things...

For example......His death reconciled us....[meaning it brought us near to God] .......
This is where they Stop...

They cannot see how we are saved by His Life...concerning circumstances in this world...like the wrath.......of men?
But all through psalms it's about people who remain under His protection by doing His will.

But as Jesus said you Must be born again...
Otherwise you cannot see the Kingdom
John 3:3

So Tong Trust Jesus......And I
believe ...your eyes will be open...

Rely on Him for everything

Your trusting what He did as the Foundation ...
The true question....what will heaven be like for those who did not stay as close to Jesus now ? YOU THINK, Surely Heaven would be Hell for them..?

For

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Point is...because the foundation is Osas doctrine.....you skip over how we are saved in this life we now live.....Therefore all scripture seen must be filtered through their foundation...

Jesus didn't die so we didn't have to die....He died so we would follow Him....that is what that Baptism means...It's when you die to yourself you live.

God is our life source...Jesus Himself said if any man wants to follow me He must take up His cross.....

"Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin…" (1 John 3:9)

I don’t have to pretend that this verse means something other than what it says.

You do.

Which speaks volumes.
nope

in the greek, it means habitual sin. as in the world.

The same John said if we claim we have no sin we deceive ourselves

I am not decieved my friend. I own up to my wrongdoings. When will you?

I have been osas for most of my life. And I know many many osas believers

Non of us believe as you have just posted.. Not sure who you get your information from. But true OSAS doctrine teaches it is our knowledge and security in christ that is the bases of our continued faith and continued walk in him.

Osas does not teach just believe and then do nothing. This is in error.

Christ is the end of the law for all who believe...

BELIEVE IS SOMETHING YOU DO...IT IS A VERB,

SO WHAT YOU ARE SAYING TONG IS THE GOSPEL SAVES you IF YOU DO NOT BELIEVE...
Do you admit that man cannot save himself from the power of death? If you do, why is it then that with regards the salvation of God, you seem to say that you are saved because you did something?

As I was telling you, the gospel is about what God had done to save you and me.

and SADLY.... it gets thrown at us all the time... that and how we condone... invite... embrace sin.... It doesn't seem to matter how many times we state.... SIN is BAD .. .ALL of it.... we get thrown back into that pit.

You know, you've been corrected on this point numerous times.

So all I can conclude is that you don't care about honesty, only in impugning those who disagree with you.

Time to get real.

Much love!

I'm starting to see dishonesty here. No matter how many times I say I don't think this way, the malarkey continues. Maybe there is some pathological need being filled or something.

@David H.

Much love!
