As for Me? ......I’ll continue to Trust God and Rest.....Why worry about this stuff? Because I Rest in the Gospel Of Grace Plus Nothing, Jesus made me a Promise.....He’s gonna present me to His Father as “ Blameless” .....I’ll leave it to Him to work out the details....I just do as ordered in Hebrews 3 and 4 ....I REST.....Try it— You’ll like it ! ( and If you will get out of the way, the Results will be so much better than if you try to do it all yourself)

God ain’t so much interested in what “ You” do as He is interested in what He can do “ through” you....For God's Sake , man.....let yourself off that stupid “ hook” you are on....God did 2000 years ago .....bask in His Grace....get a little true faith in you before you die....find out what “ Joy “ is.....That Joy should be as natural as your “ enduring” is.....God rewards those that obey Him by putting Joy in their Hearts. If you ain’t Resting , you ain’t Obeying.....You don’t seem to really Understand Christianity at all...True Christians do a lot more Smiling than they do Scowling.....something tells me you “ Scowl” a lot......Turn in your Scowl for a Smile....start Trusting God instead of yourself......

Yes, agree. He who OVERCOMES, endures to the end.

The Overcoming and Enduring, IS effected BY and Through Gods Works. Not something a man has accomplished or must KEEP doing.
It's a DONE deal, already Accomplished and Kept, by Gods Power.

[22] And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

* A man WHO has been MADE Converted, IS ALREADY SAVED. "IS" ALREADY a "NEW CREATURE".
He is not, by his own power, "enduring" to the end, still "hoping he SHALL be Saved.

* Considering, the NT was FIRST and Primarily a teaching TO the Jews and Lost Tribes. Seeking out the Tribes who had been taught for centuries ABOUT GOD, those who KEPT their belief IN GOD, KEPT their Mosaic Laws, and those who wandered off into Gentiles ways and gods.
* Considering, While Jesus', the Christ Messiah of God, arrived ON Earth, FULFILLED the LAW...the LAW was not Destroyed.

** A man having chosen to be MADE Whole, by the Power of God...
IS Already MADE WHOLE, MADE soul SAVED, MADE spiritually QUICKENED, HAS OVERCOME, IS IN Peace and Comfort.
** His enduring to the END (of his physical life),
IS already accomplished, BY the Indwelling Power of God.

In the last few weeks... I have been popping into this thread with a lot of sarcastic wit... I have tried to use humour to fend off the naysayers...

But here is the REAL TRUTH... The doctrine of OSAS is not just a BELIEF system that is made up by some to "take" scripture out of context and remove the SERIOUS warnings of SIN.

Somehow this is an accusation that gets thrown at GRACE believers ALL THE TIME. We get accused of condoning sin... embracing sin... even inviting sin into our lives. It doesn't seem to matter how many times we SCREAM..... I do not ACCEPT sin of any kind... it's all BAD... we still get accused of ABUSING GRACE...

Here's the thing... and here's the difference between the two camps.

The legalists believe that they HAVE to keep doing something to add to the finished work of CHRIST.

The legalists believe they HAVE to DO GOOD and BE GOOD.

The legalists believe it is their job to ASSESS and JUDGE each Christian's walk which then sets the stage for them to COMPARE their lives with every one else in order to GRADE their own performance. This is why it is labelled WORKS.... because it is indeed WORKS.

The Grace believers understand that at the time of a believer's conversion... a supernatural EVENT occurs. They believe that their souls were actually... and literally PURCHASED... at GREAT COST by the BLOOD of CHRIST.

The Grace believers understand that after that point of conversion... they are a NEW CREATION in CHRIST.... and all else flows from that TRANSACTION. It is a one time deal... .it is an ACTUAL event... and this is what the legalists REFUSE to acknowledge and believe.

It is this PROMISE of ETERNAL SALVATION.... it is the promise that GOD will be faithful to FINISH within us ( His children )... what HE has begun... which is a good work... that ALLOWS us to REST in HIS FINISHED WORK on the cross.

The accusations that come flying our way are FALSE... all of them... and it stems from very poor teaching. People seem to prefer believing that they HAVE to maintain their behaviour to the highest standard... but they are NOT understanding that ONE sin is all it takes to FAIL... so even before ANY one of you legalists get out of bed in the morning... YOU are DOOMED.

So much JOY is stolen by believing the wrong things.

I have experienced AGONY like I cannot express due to being told I could lose my salvation.

Until a person accepts who they are in CHRIST... until a person understands that SALVATION is a PROMISE for those who simply BELIEVE that CHRIST paid the price of sin in FULL... there will continue to be misery... un-necessary strife and unrest.

You have the other POV wrong. It has nothing to do with works, God did it all, it is about attacks by Satan, temptation, difficult home life, and a whole lot of human frailties. I wonder if you have ever been there?

I have grown to become kind of fond of that little period (.) at the end of each of your posts... LOL

We all have sufferings that we must endure.... we live in a fallen world... filled with sin... filled with evil... filled with oppression... suppression and despair... THIS is why we need a SAVIOUR.... and that SAVIOUR is ABSOLUTELY capable of handling EVERY single disappointment that comes our way.

There was a poem/story about the cross we have to carry... Not sure how it goes exactly... but it was about someone who THOUGHT the cross they were bearing was way too heavy... and so God allowed them to choose another cross.... When the person chose another cross that they thought was smaller and more bearable... they realized.... once they started carrying it... that they could not HANDLE it... It was too much to bear.
The moral of the story is that the person took back their own cross ... because it was specifically made for them to BEAR with CHRIST.

I have suffered with Chronic Depression all of my life... For over 40 years... day after day... month after month... year after year of constant sorrow and suffering which eventually led to TOTAL DESPAIR.... Do you know that even despair has different levels?? I have been down to the LOWEST point of despair... I would search out JOY... to not much avail... only pockets here and there... SO.... I know what suffering is... and I know what I am talking about when I say the word FREEDOM.... it means EVERYTHING to me. Grace gives me the FREEDOM that legalism dares to REMOVE.

I think the point your missing is justification is about being freed fro the cursed as your relationship with God is restored to what it was supposed to be, where your penalty of sin is removed, and you who were dead in sin have been made alive in Christ. This again is justification

sanctification is growing to maturity, running the race, the perfecting of the saint, it too is performed by God, as the author of hebrew says “by one offering g he has perfected forever those who is sanctifying” and paul says “He who began a good work will complete it until the day of Christ, while your right there is temptation land we have to learn to trust God in all areas of our lives. It is God who empowers that, but this has nothing to do with being justified,

I was a prodigal child for 5 year. I never lost faith in God for salvation. My lack of faith was in my life, and the circumstances that came my way, I failed. god did not fail..

Paul warns us, are we foolish having begun in the flesh are we now being perfected in the flesh.
