Christ did indeed . The RCC followed not those men .
Peter himself with all the saints will one day judge those who had prayed to him and taught others to do the same .
Mary herself shall judge with the saints all those who prayed to her and taught others to do the same .
Its rather odd that in the book of acts and in all the letters written BY the original ones and paul , NOT A ONE
made mention of praying to mary , to angels . Fact is they warned against such things .
LET No man beguile you in your REWARD by a voluntary and humility of worshipping angels .
The RCC must have never heard those warnings . Teaching in the place of TRUTH the doctrines of men gone wrong is what they did .
But so too has much of the protestant realm failed the people . ITS Time for those who call themselves christain
to COME YE OUT FROM AMONG THEM . AND worship GOD in SPIRIT and in TRUTH as all lambs have through all ages .

Cause JESUS said too . hearers and doers . The early church followed His pattern and they too water baptized .
We must keep the original pattern , being hearers and doers of the Word . Or folks are gonna find out

That is why we do . Faith without works is not true faith . And works without FAITH is certain death itself .

The so called reformation never reformed anything they started new churches with zero authority from Christ none of them were even apostles eph 2:20

Since Christ died 15 centuries before, no one would expect authority to come from him. I'm content with the directives I receive directly from the Holy Spirit - even if they do not comply with RCC desire to control everyone.

The explicit teaching in the Bible is to be Baptized, independent of any denomination.

Unfortunately to name a few there are doctrines within different denominations of protestantism of

- Cessationism (this has to be one of the worst doctrines imo)
- Sabbath keeping (must rest every Saturday) (There are also those that think you have to go to Church every Sunday to keep your salvation.)
- Must not eat meat or must not eat certain meats like pork or birds of any kind
- Works for Salvation
- Thou shalt not celebrate Jesus during Easter and Christmas holidays
- Women must not work
- Women must not participate in ministry
- You have to have the gift of speaking in Tongues to be saved
- There are those that preach every Christian should be living a financially prosperous wealthy life.
- Or even more recently and quite hilariously one has to vote for a certain political party to keep his or her's salvation.

And yes some preach way too much judgement, as if we were still living in the Old Testament.....

And I am sure there is more that could be added to this list.

The mass itself has not changed? When I attended a large part of it was done in Latin. Other than the priests and perhaps the nuns I doubt that anyone in attendance understood much of the Latin spoken. I was an altar boy and while we made some responses to the priest in Latin, we were not required to understand what we were saying. we simply memorized the words without understanding them.

The Bible readings done in Catholic Churches today were not done at all in the 1950's where I attended from age 6 until I graduated from high school in 1961. I attended Mission San Juan Bautista, CA, the largest of the original 21 California missions established by the Spanish.

You have no idea of the fiery judgments to come in the future. The OT judgments will pale in comparison! Since the Second Coming of Christ is also about judgment, it appears that you need to brush up on what is revealed in Scripture.

Every man is an individual.
Every individual Does Not Have the exact same opportunities and experiences.
An individual "HEARING" the name JESUS, for the very first time, is gifted FROM GOD, a small very tiny measure of FAITH.
Should that man, in a moment later, physically die...
THAT very tiny measure of Gods Gift of "FAITH ALONE", IS sufficiant to SAVE THAT MAN.

Men ARE individuals. Comparing men to what YOU have Heard, YOU believe, YOU do, YOUR opportunities, YOUR experiences....has No effect ON an other mans individual relationship with God.

while it's true that most people who could read in the middle ages, learned to read Latin -- that's the nobility and scholars in monasteries. the lay population didn't speak Latin in Europe; even in Italy by the 8th century it would not have been understood by the general population.

when German reformers who put these German translations into the hands of the common people, as early as Ulfilas in the 4th century, it was not because all the Goths could speak Latin! it was because they couldn't -- but if in the 300's there were men working to make the scripture accessible to everyone in Europe, and Latin was not the common speech, then why was the RCC still resisting people owning a copy of the scripture or hearing it in a language they could understand all the way into the 15th century?
