No; it doesn't.
Can nukes cause the moon to glow blood red? Dose a nuke war in the Northern hemisphere affect the Southern?
No; to both of those questions and to many other details of the Lords Day of wrath, by fire from the sun.

The description in Zechariah 14:12 is actually better understood as powerful microwaves, actually cooking people from the inside. A nuke radiation flash would just burn the skin, as the many Japanese victims experienced.
