Dont be shocked...there’s no need!
Some here are shocked at the idea of Christ being under the dominion of death in any sense or way.
Firstly you might ask why? What is offending them? This response in itself should alarm you to enquire further into the Word.
Are you shocked also at what Paul says
"Christ being raised from the dead, dieth no more, death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he (Jesus) died unto sin once; but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God".
You will find those who hold error will even speak out against this teaching openly and with aggression. They will not hear truth, even if it is clearly read before them; they pursue error at all costs to themselves and their salvation.
This is likened to the spiritual pride of the Pharisees who lock up the keys of knowledge and took away the real truth as is found in God’s Law.
God declares to you that “death” once had dominion over Jesus. This understanding removes the idea of Jesus being God, for how can God have death reign over him!
No need to be shocked as this spiritual understanding is something to admire and bow down and worshipped through Jesus who is the banner of God’s love how in himself upheld God’s dignity on earth.
God is love and He chose to make His son a foundation upon which He stands, this is well pleasing to the Father...
"If ye offer the lame and the sick is it not evil? Offer it now unto thy governor: will he be pleased with thee or accept thy person? saith the Lord of Hosts." "Cursed be the deceiver that hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and offereth unto the Lord a corrupt thing; for I am a great King, saith the Lord of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the heathen."
We all must honour God and this is how we approach Him...for He states "A son (Jesus) honoureth his father and a servant his master. If then I be a Father, where is mine honour? If I be a master, where is my fear?"
Yahweh is great, He is Holy, and very Wise, the Omnipotent and yet we find ourselves looking Him holding a little sinful weakened creature (me and you) in His hand who is nothing but flesh and blood, He could in a second destroy us and have nothing to do with our lives. What makes Him so merciful and kind with gracious actions and words who has long suffered with our sins, that He would ask us to approach Him without impressing on us His righteousness and stating His greatness upon us. Could I stand in His throne room? Could I walk upon His heavenly pavement? Could I come to Him with any honour or integrity?
Nah!
It is only in the Lord Jesus Christ crucified that you and I are invited into His presence.
"God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself", but first He must need condemn sin in a representative man, yes fellow believer Jesus is “son of man” the one who represented mankind in his body.
In symbol and type the whole human race was crucified in His son upon that cross that one day death will be swallowed up and all the earth will dwell in Glory Num 14:21 Hab 2:14.
The Master crucified, is a man laid down, he was killed so that God is highly exalted and glorified on Earth as He is in Heaven.
We are yet to see His Glory but its coming...
