Absolutely. Forum life can be rough. We all come at one another with entirely different theologies, worldviews, life experiences, educational backgrounds, temperaments, upbringings, etc. on a daily basis, and it all comes crashing together like 25 train wrecks at once, Lol. What gets lost amid all the arguing and debating is what we actually value about each other. I even have old friends who I know are serving the dark side, but I was thinking just today about how even she (I'm thinking of one in particular) has qualities about her that I really like and I hope she can make Heaven when all is said and done. It's a shame that religious views divide us all, so that we can't talk as friends. But people who profess to love and worship the same God should especially be able to value one another for something, I would think. It's just that we spend so much time arguing about how much we disagree that the nice things we might say otherwise get lost in the shuffle and are never said.
Maybe this thread is a reminder about throwing in some compliments here and there, even with those we are in strong disagreement with. As I said in my first post, everyone has something about them that's worth speaking positively about, and the early church had plenty of disagreements, too. But the command for them was to be kindly affectioned towards one another nonetheless, so I think the same thing still applies for us today.
