One time I had this dream I was riding in a monorail on a subway. I was speeding through the darkness. Looking out the window, I saw two men arguing at the top of their lungs over politics. One was a Democrat and the other was a Republican. Then the dream flashed and I was sitting on a wooden chair. I opened my Bible and it was like a pop-up of two people with the Words of God written over them. They were arguing and yelling at the top of their lungs on what the scriptures meant.

Regardless of what anyone thinks about dreams, this had a pretty profound impact on me. How often is what we say and do as Christians like that of the world? I can hardly stand politics, so I am thinking if I was an unbeliever, if I saw Christians arguing like that over the Bible, I would be putting it down. This is what unbelievers see quite often though. An average trip to a Christian forum shows a plethora of beliefs and debate. Christians are divided in pretty much everything. It isn't the differences in beliefs as much as it is the attitude toward one another that is bothersome. Christians tear other Christians apart about things that matter little from an eternal perspective.

Romans 12:2 says, "And do not be conformed to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you will be able to prove what the will of God is, that which is good, and acceptable, and perfect." Presenting our bodies as a living and Holy sacrifice is what matters in regards to eternity. What fruits of the spirit shine in your life? What spiritual gifts does Romans 12 talk about that you are using for the kingdom of God? The transformation that people see in believers is what will matter in the long run. Living by God's Word is what will speak louder then words.

Then there is 1 Peter 3:15- "But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect..." As Christians, should we be able to defend what we believe? Yes. But with our transformed minds and embolden spirits, do we need to backbite, gossip, and explain the why in a demeaning way? Not according to 1 Peter 3:15. Sometimes it may be as Jesus had to do, flipping over tables in the temple, but by no means are we to look like the world. The difference is Jesus finished it. Actions speak louder then words. Christians need to shut up and get up. I say that with all gentleness and respect, to myself as well.

I leave with this thought, 1 John 1:7 in Amplified: "but if we [really] walk in the Light [that is, live each and every day in conformity with the precepts of God], as He Himself is in the Light, we have [true, unbroken] fellowship with one another [He with us, and we with Him], and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin [by erasing the stain of sin, keeping us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations]." Walking in the precepts of God is the best way to prove the will of God. Whatever is going on in the world, the answer is still growing closer to God and growing in understanding of His Word. Present the Truth in love, church! Don't look like the world or be distracted by it!

This is so awesome. I am happy to see you and happy to read it. I can see God working in your words.

I was reading Galatians 6:1 last night that talks about some of what you are saying...

"Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently."

Romans 2, also.

Amen!

Absolutely! And God always helps lead us in the right direction, even if it takes time.

For whatever reason, I feel like I'm being led to go mess around on Pinterest for a little bit. Who knows what I'll discover.

You guys have a great night!

2 Timothy 2:14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Conflict with God and His resolution is the theme of the Bible.

When the Ark of the Covenant was being carried on "a new cart" (the world's method) instead of with staves on the shoulders of Kohathites (God's method), Uzzah made the mistake of trying to steady it when it seemed necessary, and was killed for his efforts.

The Ark of the Covenant is a type of "God at work through Christ our Saviour", so how He is "carried" by the body of Christ is important.

I have learned not to try and steady God's Work when it is being carried on the new cart of the world's methods.

From Wkpd
The Torah ascribes a specific religious function to the Kohathites, namely care of the vessels and objects within the sanctuary: the Ark of the Covenant, Menorah, Table of Shewbread.[2]

Num 4:15 “When Aaron and his sons have finished covering the sanctuary, and all the furniture of the sanctuary, as the camp moves forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to carry it: but they shall not touch the sanctuary, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the Tent of Meeting.

2Sa 6:3-15 They set God’s ark on a new cart, and brought it out of Abinadab’s house that was on the hill; and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart. (4) They brought it out of Abinadab’s house, which was in the hill, with God’s ark; and Ahio went before the ark. (5) David and all the house of Israel played before Yahweh with all kinds of instruments made of cypress wood, with harps, with stringed instruments, with tambourines, with castanets, and with cymbals. (6) When they came to the threshing floor of Nacon, Uzzah reached for God’s ark, and took hold of it; for the cattle stumbled. (7) Yahweh’s anger burned against Uzzah; and God struck him there for his error; and he died there by God’s ark. (8) David was displeased, because Yahweh had broken out against Uzzah; and he called that place Perez Uzzah, to this day. (9) David was afraid of Yahweh that day; and he said, “How could Yahweh’s ark come to me?” (10) So David would not move Yahweh’s ark to be with him in David’s city; but David carried it aside into Obed-Edom the Gittite’s house. (11) Yahweh’s ark remained in Obed-Edom the Gittite’s house three months; and Yahweh blessed Obed-Edom and all his house. (12) King David was told, “Yahweh has blessed the house of Obed-Edom, and all that belongs to him, because of God’s ark.” So David went and brought up God’s ark from the house of Obed-Edom into David’s city with joy. (13) When those who bore Yahweh’s ark had gone six paces, he sacrificed an ox and a fattened calf. (14) David danced before Yahweh with all his might; and David was clothed in a linen ephod. (15) So David and all the house of Israel brought up Yahweh’s ark with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.

I agree with the scriptures. Not sure why you are laughing though. Jesus called the Pharisees white washed tombs and hypocrites, but He didn't bicker back and forth, maliciously slander them, revile or scorn them. He used the Word of God to get His point across. He wounded them, because He loved them.

Could you explain a little more? It is interesting about the ark, but not sure what you mean.

If you ever have some time, I would suggest reading War And Glory, which is an extended vision given to Rick Joyner in which the wars and strife that the Christian World and Christians in general are currently engaging in is going to end in judgment upon the church. The Lord knows that the world not only will not but cannot enter the church at the present time, because they would just be used as more pawns in the war. Once the church has been severely judged for this (the beginning of which is still likely about 20 years away), it is prophesied that the Lord will raise up a remnant who are heavily anointed with the Spirit of God to perform miracles, heal the sick, and preach the true gospel, calling people to REPENTANCE.

About the imagery of the dream, monorails generally represent a unified path, so here they represent the straight and narrow, and not turning "to the Left or the Right." This is not to say we can't have political affiliations, but simply that the Lord should govern how we walk rather than the world, and you are correct; the news networks have polarized people on the issue of politics and feed off that polarization. They have no great concern about the strife generated by such conversation, and neither do many Christians, including ones who have been here and some who are still members here.

Speeding through the darkness is very complimentary of you. It speaks to moving in the Lord through the darkness of the present age, even as others are going nowhere spiritually as a result of being seduced by the enemy into striving about what is of no great importance compared to the teaching and preaching of the word of God, and growing in Him.

Sitting in a chair in the next scene is likely representative of being at peace and rest, as opposed to the two people yelling at each other in strife. And the words written over them is something that appears in visions often. You will see it most often in things like visions of Hell, where written over the person who is being tormented will appear words that describe the sin they gave themselves to the most. The implication for the two people yelling is that by giving themselves not to the Holy Spirit but to evil spirits to control their lives and actions, they will not make Heaven.

Thanks for sharing your dream, and blessings in Christ. Good hearing from you again, as always.

It was actually like they were wearing the Words of God on them. Like popping up from inside the Bible with the passage on them.

It sounds similar, although this might also suggest they are misrepresenting the Word of God through their behavior, as per your quotation of 1 Peter 3:15- "But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect..."

Great encouragement. Having just went over Mark 8:31-38. This reminds me of the rebuking of Peter with Jesus.

Jesus had was explaining that He would be rejected by the chief priest, the scribes, and the elders, that the Son of man must suffer many things and be put to death but in three days rise up.

The disciples where standing there on the side of the road and listening to what he had been teaching. Peter goes to Jesus and rebukes him, saying that basically Jesus quit talking about this you do not have to die, you can stay here.

Jesus turns and sees his other disciples as he is being rebuked by Peter, and turns back to Peter and says, Get behind me Satan, for you have your mind on the things of man and not of God.

You can see here a contrast of the Flesh(Peter) - having the thoughts on the things of man, and also you can see it of the Spirit(Jesus), who always had his thoughts on the Father and his will.

Thought would share that with you and anyone else who may read. I don’t really pay that much attention to the world, though I do partake in it, the main focus should always make God your first love. Love God first.

Love your neighbor as yourself. From what I understood yesterday in Proverbs 19:8 (hopefully) if a person loves his own soul, he will gain wisdom. Something like this.

Wisdom itself is a great word. The definition of it is this 1. The quality of being wise; power of judging rightly and following the soundest course of action, based on knowledge, experience, understanding, etc. 2. Learning; knowledge; erudition 3. Wise discourse or teaching 4. A wise plan or course of action.

Hope this helps encourage you and others,
Matthew G.
