Im sure people have all kinds of reasons and experiences with their tattoos.

My opinion is unchanged though.
@Wynona Yes, well, as the discussion with Truth7t7 also shows, ppl who basically believe the same doctrines are going to come to various and differing views on a subject such as tattoos and the faith based variety.

at 18, my son called me from the fair grounds just to ask permission to get a fake tattoo, because he know I was never in favor of tattoo
@Faithbuilders Yes, this is the age around which young men and women get their first tattoos. Often Christian young ppl get faith based ones; all the young ppl with Bible verse tattoos with whom I have talked seem to have had them done for evangelistic reasons.

I don’t know anything about the risk
PS: @McFearless

Although there might be a slight risk of some sort or other, a lot of Christians who do get faith based tattoos would likely think that it's quite manageable and well within the parameters of what is thoroughly worthwhile, as joyful pilgrims with a heavenly hope, who dearly want to tell others.

Having said that, and to just be real with you, I like being about specific hair types for face shapes and clothing to fit body types, and colors based on skin tones.

My mom went to beauty school, so these things were taught earlier. But after that I'm good because you don't really have to do anything after that.
@FluffyYellowDuck So is your son getting to be fashion-conscious yet? some teens are, some are not, ever...

A little bit but not enough. You reminded me I need to iron his shirt for tomorrow. Lol

I am sure when he gets older that he will but he is more focused on being a kid while he can.
@FluffyYellowDuck Seems like, as his mom, you kind of aspire for him to be more fashion-conscious than he is....Sometimes fashion for young ppl can get a bit expensive, naturally...Depends where he shops, of course; these days, lots of Online deals can be competitive.

Of course, he's too young for a first tattoo (and he may never want one), although he's probably old enough for having earrings put in (again, if he actually wants them, and if mom lets him...)

How fitting it is pertaining to the thread.
@Heart2Soul Yes, I reckoned you would think so!

With your study knowledge and background that you mentioned on the other thread, someone like you - if not actually yourself - would be well placed to work as an assistant in a tattoo parlor, what with all the aspects of skin care and dermis puncturing and healing, understanding of blood circulation and clotting; and they often do piercing as well in tattoo parlors.

@FluffyYellowDuck If he learns to follow his mom's Lord and Savior, this is naturally far more important than whether he becomes fashion conscious, eventually gets ink or studs his ears.

I'm sure you keep praying fervently to that primary end.

Though the fashion / ink / earrings thing is definitely a phase that is gone through.

I am sure this person has a wonderful testimony to go along with her tat.
@Heart2Soul It really is the motive behind it that counts, right? I'm sure you would agree. So many ppl have found faith inkings to work in testimony, anyway. (I reckon @Mayflower agrees, probably also; we were talking a bit about it.) Like, either a silent witness or a prompt for conversation; something truly unique and personal.

I'm going to have to look closer too, farouk. But I think the pastor's wife has a faith tattoo also. I think I saw one, but I can't remember.

@Mayflower Well, anyway, if you do remember correctly and she is indeed a Godly woman who has gotten inked up with conviction and a testimony to give about it, she won't think you too inquisitive if you do ask her about it.

Kind of goes back to what you posted about being ready always to give a reason of the hope that is in you ... right? :)
