Very positive! Have you read my early posts on this thread paticularly #55? I think we are possibly almost entirely on the same page but I would be very pleased if you would pick apart my ideas as you seem to be a voice of reason around here.

I found it so remarkable how it is so close to SDA doctrine!

Were there dinosaurs on the ark? If so when and why did they go extinct? Do you think humans had to go around trying to avoid being trodden on by a passing brachiosaurus...or triceratops? Do you doubt that these creatures existed?

Dinosaurs existed right along side man. They were called Dragons until the middle 1800's when the term Dinosaur was coined and Bibles began to be corrupted by changing some words and flat removing others. We know for certain Dinosaurs existed at the same time as man through Biblical, as well as paleontological, records. NOT millions of years ago. The only purpose whatsoever for the 'millions of years' variable in all of the evolutionary and scientific history of the world is because without that one variable of countless years, the entire facade completely falls apart. None of it works without that lie. And anybody who does know science well, knows that Carbon-14 dating has been proven for decades now to be incapable of dating accurately beyond 2K-3K years. No possibility of dating anything beyond that timeframe besides historical records and physical correlations of the earth/geography, etc.

Surely if these monsters had existed at the same time as man, legends would have been passed down through time.

Every single culture known to man has ancient legends of Dragons as far back as there are records. The Eastern cultures have preserved them beautifully in the majority of their art and traditions.

Why do they have to be 24 hour periods?

They don't have to be, God could've made them anything He wanted. They just so happen to be 24 hour periods because scripture says they are. The evening and morning verses do not say their timeframe was from evening to morning. It simply says "and the evening and the morning was the [X] day." Do a sincere study of the Greek or Hebrew and you will find that it is referring to Days, not thousands or billions of years.

Isn't it funny that YOUR interpretation of that is 'those who misunderstand what it means', while MY interpretation is 'those who completely alter what it says AND means.' TRUE Science and the Bible have always been compatible. The earliest scientists were Christians. They operated on fundamental truths taught in scripture and proved the Bible true with the natural world for centuries until science was hijacked and became the propaganda machine for the enemy's world plan. Now you can't trust a single scientific factor ever anymore. Science, in itself, TRUE science, is neutral; and it supports scripture perfectly. But what we call science today, what the Bible calls 'science-so-called' is a perversion of the true principles of God's creation.

God is a Creator...not a magician.

As if the magician is more capable? God intended certain things to be debated. It is how He separates the Wheat from the chaff. The sheep from the goats. If you embrace the world and it's common ways, you can know for certain who you are of and where you are headed.

The "unknown" parts are where the letters were undecipherable. One translator thought it might have read "ELLEN WHITE" but it cannot be proved.

Spot on.....I don't believe I heard Jesus mention dinosaurs even once, but he did mention a dragon.....not a literal dragon but something big and dangerous and terrifying....he called this dragon "the serpent of old" which would be the snake in the garden of Eden. Is the snake a dragon?

The word "dragon" is from the Greek draʹkon, depicting a terrifying monster, a serpentlike devourer, more from their mythology than actual living creatures. This word occurs 13 times in the Bible but only in the highly symbolic book of Revelation, and it represents Satan the Devil....so how do they argue that dinosaurs are dragons....seriously...?

The Mormon friend said that it had noting to do with his church. All he did was to translate the writing. One of the translators thought that the plates may have been in the possession of an early Millerite missionary who arrived in the 1840s and was attacked by a local Maori tribe, and so he buried the plates just before he was killed. And so they had been there ever since.
