Sabbath keepers today just play at keeping it, they don’t obey the law connected with sabbath day keeping, such as ‘thou shalt have no fires in your habitation on the sabbath’, meaning no furnace in Siberia, no cooking fires, and no hot water heater is allowed to be in operation on the sabbath.
No fires for heat to stay warm wasn’t a problem for Israel, out in the desert - but sabbath day keeping in Siberia would be a big problem.
Exo 35:3 Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath day.
And animal sacrifice and a burnt offering are integral parts of sabbath keeping.
Num 28:9 And on the sabbath day two lambs of the first year without spot, and two tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, and the drink offering thereof:
Num 28:10 This is the burnt offering of every sabbath, beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering.
Finally, the law requires killing those who break the sabbath.
Exo 35:2 Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death.
To keep the sabbath requires killing those who don’t keep it, it’s not an option.
And that’s why sabbath keepers just play at sabbath keeping.

Not talking about the ten commandments. The law that stood in for the Seed of promise is the Levitical law representing the atonement which Christ could not physically have administered until "the fullness of time had come (Galatians 4:4)."
The sign of the New Covenant is the Lord's Supper.
You're using a sub-detail/requirement of the commandment to define the whole. That doesn't seem like a sound hermeneutic. :)
You know, that's just a mean thing to say. There are people who are being physically persecuted right now for worshiping God according to the dictates of their conscience by keeping the Sabbath. You ought to be ashamed of yourself.

In the beginning, at creation, God blessed, sanctified, and made holy the Sabbath day. The same 24 hour Sabbath day Jesus claimed to be Lord of. The same Sabbath day Jews and Christians have been keeping since then. The same 24 hour Sabbath day starting tomorrow. It is a holy day. That had never been changed. Not one hint anywhere in scripture that the 7th day is no longer holy. What excuse do you offer for living throughout every 7th day and not recognize it's holiness?

I won't enter a debate, but just to explain.
If dinner isn't prepared on early Friday, for whatever reason, it's an easy dinner. House is cleaned early Friday.
So rest starts Friday sundown to Saturday sundown, a little studying and quiet, no secular television or music, until sundown Saturday.
Because Hebrews 4, particularly vs. 8-9 and Matthew 5:17-20, but I won't get too deep into it because I am sleepy.
Basically, it's not hard. It's like what? Up to 12 waking hours? Not a burden, the Lord gives me rest and I accept.

This shows us that the sabbath commandment is not equal in importance to 'do not murder' and 'do not commit adultery'

The observances of the Israelites were rejected by God because they were not living in obedience to him. Obedience to him in regard to what? The moral aspects of the law. The prophet is making a clear delineation between being observant and being obedient to that which matters. Just try putting 'not stealing', or 'not coveting' in place of 'Sabbaths' in verse 13 above and you'll see the truth of what I'm talking about. This is why I, personally, don't feel compelled to have to keep a sabbath day like I do have to 'not murder' and 'do not steal', etc. It's fine if someone wants to be observant. I wish the church had not abandoned the Mosaic worship cycle, but not because 'keep sabbath' is of equal import to 'do not covet'. If someone's conviction is that they must view being observant that way then that's what they must do. I respect that. I just don't have that conviction for the reasons I've shared right from the OT itself. your incense is detestable to Me—

I don't argue that. The sabbath day is the 7th day. Always has been, always will be. The Catholics had no authority to change the holy days to pagan equivalents. What I resist is the thinking that the sabbath observance is equal to not murdering, or not coveting, etc. I'm not trying to dissuade anyone from being observant (observant believers must follow their conscience). I am trying to show why I think I don't have to be.

I'm not asking if you agree with it, but if you understand why I believe you have not entered (and can not enter) into satisfactory rest in God until you first and foremost keep the moral requirements of God, thus illustrating that the commands to be observant are not equal to and on par with 'do not steal', etc. ↓↓↓

This is where Jesus shows us that our outward worship is not on par to keeping God's moral commandments.
There are several places in the books of the prophets that speak of this error of the Israelites. Those of us who are not observant are often just as guilty of improperly elevating our outward sacrifice and service to God in worship to equal to or above our obedience to God (that 'obedience is better than sacrifice' thing), thinking that somehow replaces or makes up for our disobedience to that which really counts - how we treat people.
"23So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24leave your gift there before the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift." Matthew 5:23-24

First off, no commandment was made on that seventh day. It was just written that the Lord rested on that 7th day from creating the heavens and the earth in six days.
Second thing is; if everybody was keeping the sabbath day, Gentiles & Jews alike, there would be no need for that commandment in the first place when Israel became a nation after leaving Egypt.
Third thing is, the sabbath day commandment did not end for why Jesus admitted indirectly that His disciples were profaning the sabbath, but you have to discern why & how they were guiltless that day in Matthew 12:1-7
Fourth thing is; part of keeping that commandment is to stone those among them that were not. So where is that careful instructions among the churches of Jews & Gentile believers in Christ not to stone anyone for breaking the sabbath day?
Fifth thing is; also part of keeping the sabbath day commandment is not to have anyone working for you on that sabbath day. That means not taking advantage of other people working on the sabbath at gas stations, the markets, and restaurants when any needs should have been done the day before so you would not be doing that on the sabbath.
Sixth thing is; you are not even allowed to cook on the sabbath but prepare meals the day before so it is ready on the sabbath.
Seventh thing is; if a believer still had to "work" in observing the sabbath day commandment, then where is that rest in Jesus Christ? That is why Jesus is Lord of the sabbath and not the sabbath day "lord" over Jesus Christ.
The elephant is yours unless you can answer these 7 obvious contentions.
The defense of the gospel and the faith in Jesus Christ rests for why you & I are guiltless for profaning the sabbath because He is in us always.
Why are you so angry? You seem to be eaten up with it.
Let's say that there are folk who you don't believe are doing or saying what they need to.
You say they lie, you call them miserable--there must be a story before all this fire.
For the last time, if someone believes something, and they speak of it, they are not lying. Lying is a conscious act.
