Via water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin, our heart is circumcised.
Nope. We are the circumcision, as I said. And the effectual baptism that leads to repentance and belief is that of water and the Spirit.

Minus water baptism for the remission of sins, a sinners heart is uncircumcised.
Well, again by water and the Spirit… not by H2O and man. :)

Those that oppose obeying Acts 2:38 have a stony, uncircumcised heart.
See, nobody “opposes it,” Truther. That’s what’s so ridiculous about all this…stuff… you’re trying to foist on people. They just know it’s not the baptism that truly saves.

Grace and peace to you.

If water baptism in the NT is the sole equivalent of Circumcision in the OT, then you are baptizing the majority of your infant constituents illegally.
Now you admit the infant girls are not on the same level to be baptized in the RCC.
Since you claim it is not specifically an operation of the heart, you are illegal in both the OT and NT.
You are in your own RCC testament, the Pope's testament...LOL
I enlarged your LIE for ALL to see.
This way - everybody gets to see what a fraud YOU and your entire argument are.

Where did I ever make the claim that girls are NOT on yhr same level as boys in the Catholic Church?
I specifically stated in post #298:
"As to your other idiotic remarks in RED - females in the Old Covenant were not on the same level as males.
In the New Covenant, we are in Christ, where there is NO "Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female" (Gal. 3:28)."

The fact that you had to LIE in porder to continue your asinine rant shows me how pathetic your that youy ran out of gas a longftime ago.

Maybe, you should keep "LOL"-ing instead of debating - because you stinnk at the latter . . .

The surgery of that took place long before i was baptized .
God had already changed my heart my friend . It was may thirtieth of two thousand and six .
A day like any other . I started out with the old heart and old man ,
but later that day , I was pricked in the conscious and everything FLIPPED AROUND .
A whole new hunger for GOD had began . I got so immersed in that bible and all was new my friend .
A few months later i was led to get water baptized .
How can your surgery be complete without remission of sins?

So you think the heart is circumcised without Acts 2:38 remission of sins?

Acts skippers need surgery, bad?

You said in the OT that boys and girl infants were not both circumcised because girls are not on the same level.

You said circumcision per the NT is the equivalent to baptism.

Therefore you must teach girls should not be baptized per the OT circumcision equivalent.

Or, you must apologize for being wrong about the 2 equivalents.

Catholic.

Ranting is a Catholic trick.

My first public debate with a priest was in 1980, which he entered his office with an armful of books and I had only a Bible.

By the end of it he was red faced and yelling...."shut up and sit down", as I asked him questions he could not answer....LOL

Truther, I think it would be a revelation of sorts) for you if in Acts 2:38, you substituted ~ and no, you would not be changing the meaning or the thrust of the text one iota ~ the phrase "because of" for the word "for." The word 'for' there does not mean "in order to get," but rather "in light of," "because of." So:

"Peter said to them, 'Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for ~ because of ~ the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

And yet again, Peter is saying the exact same thing to his hearers (and us) there, essentially, as he does later in his epistle to the readers of his second letter (original readers as well as all those after, including us), to "be all the more diligent to confirm" ~ acknowledge publicly, as well as to the self and to God ~ "your (our) calling and election."

Acts skippers need surgery, bad?
LOL!

Grace and peace to you.

WOW.
I apologize for calling your eaerlier posts "idiotic" - because this post is by FAR the most idiotic one yet . . . .

Pay attention, Einstein:
Females in the OLD COVENANT were not on the same level as males.
Females in the NEW COVENANT are equal - as there is there is "NO Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female" (Gal. 3:28).

I'll "dumb" it down even more for you . . .
Girls can take part in the circumcision of the heart, which is completed at Baptism.

I already made this clear to you in post #298 and elsewhere.
So, instead of sitting there and drooling on yourself - pay attention instead . . .

Ummmm, first of all, my worfully-ignorant friend - he didn't put anything in the form of a questioon - so there is nothing to "answer".

Secpondly - his statement is a stupid and dishonest premise - especially the following phrase:
"Since you claim it is not specifically an operation of the heart".

When did I make this claim?
You guys aren't very bright - are ya?

Good to see the transforming power of Christ has changed you, brother. Still winning souls for Christ? If you see people you're arguing with as idiots, why do you even bother? The ignore button really works.

It was . And without blood there is no remission of sins .
The blood of CHRIST JESUS . My faith was in Him .
Then not long after i went and got water baptized as well . If the early church did it , we do it .
But my heart was changed on day one . I had whole new desires ,love for the truth .
And as i read the bible my heart was fed . Then later i went i got water baptized .

The MAJOR problem you have is, it does not say that. But I guess when you are desperate, you will have no problem using substitutions.

Now that you made a substitution, run along with your NEW scripture and it will be your NEW gospel.

Yikes!

There are multiple translations of scripture and every single one reflects the belief of the translators. Some are better or worse than others, but everyone clings jealously to that upon which their faith is based. Someone who sees their church as "holy mother", will defend their church to well beyond the limits of scripture. You can't possibly convince a soul of truth. That's God's job.

I struggle with speaking the truth in love, because argument devolves into personal attack and the flesh responds with counter attacks. Rise above for the sake of Christ. I say this to myself first, but love wins.

This is a debate thread. BOL cannot defend his position, he quite well should take your advice and hide his head in the sand.

You gave him good advice.
Possibly, but do you reject him as a brother because of his nonbiblical arguments or angry exchanges?
I'm still trying to find a biblical verse that even justifies debate. If debate leads to transgression, then it's better to avoid it. We're all created in the image of God, but some understand Him better than others. However, what good is knowledge without self control?

Have you looked at the non-Christian forums?
Atheists and pagans show more restraint than some who call upon the prince of peace. Zeal for the word is Christ like, but the Lord used restraint when confronted by those who would see Him dead. Again, I've failed in this many times, but it should be a goal, shouldn't it?
