John was the last of that series. John was the greatest, but the least in the kingdom of God is greater than John.

I think John was "The Greatest" only because he made the path straight for Jesus Christ and in so doin g gave up his life. He basically was sent to be a BLOCKER like Jerry Reed in Smokey and the Bandit so Jesus could complete his mission while much focus was on John whom they beheaded.

God is really no respecter of men, so its John's "CALLING" that made him the greatest because his job was more important than all other jobs. Remember, God sees all, Satan probably would have tried to behead Jesus much earlier, but God had everyone's focus on John.

Another reason Jesus stated this was because he knew that even though John was not able to call Israel unto repentance, but Elijah will be able to in the end times, is that he wanted everyone t know this had nothing tp do with John, he did the exact same thing Elijah will do in the end times, the only difference was THE TIMING, Israel was not ready to repent, that only comes during the 70th week. Jesus wanted his Disciples to know John didn't fail, he completed his Mission by dying or becoming lesser in stature as Jess became greater in stature.

The day of Christ's future return is KNOWN ONLY by The Father, and there it is in verse 7. Only at Jesus' future return will God's River be manifest again in the holy land, and there it is in verse 8. Christ Jesus ONLY will be KING over all the earth beginning at His future return, and there it is in verse 9!

And the Beast rules 1260 days.....so the very day he conquers Jerusalem he has only 1260 days to rule, I assume people can count that high brother. So, that Day and Hour not being known should clue you in he was not talking about the Second Coming of Jesus to deliver Israel and the whole earth from the Anti-Christ and Satan, but rather about the coming for his church, which ends the Harvest (Church Age) which always ended via the Feast of Trumps. This is the only reason Paul uses that moniker at all, the Last Trump always ended the Harvest, we the Church are in the Summer Harvest !!

So, why can't we know the day nor hour? Because the Feast of Trumpets starting time was never known, it went by the Lunar Moon, the Harvest ending was contingent the new moon coming in to start the new year. So, the new year could start over a two day period of time, thus they never knew the exact day not hour, but of course they knew the season. So, Israel sent out two witnesses into the mountains when the time came each year, they spied the new moon and sent word back, then the Trumpets started blowing, they blew 99 times or in 9 sets of 11 and then the "LAST TRUMP" blew LONGER & LOUDER than the other 99 and it officially ended the Harvest.

The Second Coming will be KNOWN by anyone who can count. Everyone will know when God's Wrath falls also, both parallel exactly over 1260 days. But the day Jesus comes fir his bride, n o one will know that day nor hour because the Harvest's ending is never known. Al of these things were shadows to come, done for a reason. God called them Holy Convocations (Dress Rehearsals) thus we can look back and see the future, if we are wise. All of these things should register but sadly, from what I see, men have to much invested in their own understandings and are just not moveable, I think in totally different terms, prove me a point is of God and I will, accept it. Thus God knows I am teachable. The Pharisees knew it all, they were not teachable, the Disciples were teachable, that is why God chose unlearned babes.

To those deceivers of the "synagogue of Satan", I will not be cool! Not everyone who comes here putting the 'Christian' moniker on their avatar is actually a Christian. It is easy to recognize those of the "synagogue of Satan" here, for they intentionally butcher God's written Word. Also, they aren't very familiar with The New Testament Scriptures, for they only know The Old Testament writings, for that's all they heed, if they heed any of God's Word at all. So that's another way to recognize them.

Do you know that the Mt of Olives is actually split into two areas today (East and West)? Maybe you did not know this fact.

What is said in Zechariah 14 concerning Mt Olives has both a literal and figurative meaning. Did you know this as well? Most probably not.

• All the nations gathering against Jerusalem, are the gentiles (meaning: all nations).
• When did Christ's feet stand on the Mount of Olives? The great divide was the divide between the flesh and the spirit by His ascension unto the Father.

• The light in evening is that light unto the gentiles, the light of the Spirit, that living water--half to Israel, and half to the gentiles.

While the prophet would understand all as meaning all- He would not know how many made up the all. Many times prophecies were given when the prophet did not know th efull extent of what he was prophesying.

I see two parallel events, where God opens the mountain/sea, calls His people to flee through the gap, then closes it in to destroy the aggressors.

I don't place a requirement on prophecy that it not be literally fulfilled, as the former prophecies have been.

There is much spiritual application we can make, but without removing the meanings of the words and statements they form, as if these things were not said by God.

I appreciate very much your reminders towards the spiritual focus, but even so, Jesus spent an actual 3 days in the heart of the earth. He was in an actual grave. These things are fraught with spiritual meaning, but the physical events nonetheless happened.
