Are you a "natural man," J? How about you @ScottA?

Look at 1 Corinthians 2:9-16
9 But as it is written:

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.

13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. 16 For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
No arguing with that
Blessings
J.
God has already "mortified" our flesh by crucifying the old man. We just have to walk in the Spirit. Romans 6:6-7. I know you don't want to believe that, and instead believe Jesus was a failure.

You believe what tickles your ears, J. Look what you didn't hightlight:

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

5 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, 7 in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them.

8 But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, 10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, 11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.

That is not to say we need not do anything. John says we "keep ourselves." J, all you have to do is keep your mind stayed on Jesus. 1 John 5:18.
Exactly what I'm doing
Blessings
J.

You seemed to be saying you still need to mortify the flesh. Is that right or not?

Rom_8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
Col_3:5 Mortify! therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

The onus is on us as believers dia the Spirit to mortify the deeds of the body
Would you like me to explain this for you in layman's terms in Greek?
I'll be more than happy to show you or inbox me.
Like I said, don't fret about me, I am genuinely Born from above through grace and chesed from our Father in heaven.

Mortification of the flesh and the lusts thereof, the Imperative is on us to do it, does not apply to you?
A struggle all saints have till the day of our final redemption, to wit, the redemption of our bodies?

J, it worries me how little you understand between the man before Christ, and the born again Christian. A born again Christian has had his flesh ALREADY mortified. Basically Paul, in Colossians 3, is saying to become born again.

I do understand, but from now on I am going to be VERY selective in whom I'm talking/typing to..I said inbox me, your prerogative to either accept or not.

Then why are you posting me to mortify the flesh? You know I'm a Christian, and don't willfully sin.

I'm trying to help you understand the power of God to make us sinless by His crucifying the flesh and writing his laws on our hearts. Jesus said, "My yoke is easy and my burden is light." He has made it so easy to make it to heaven as a spotless Bride. All you have to do is never go against your Spirit-filled conscience. So don't quench the Spirit, but keep yourself and flee from temptation. Easy!

False teachers say you will always sin; you will always struggle with sin. It's too hard, so Jesus made it so we can sin and He's paid the price already. NO! An obvious doctrine of demons.

You DO sin...that's the problem
This is my last conversation with you since you do not want to accept correction

Letting the world know how much theology you know, how right one's understanding is by posting half a library (exaggeration for emphasis) leaves the average punter feeling like a dumbo while being none the wiser. It's standard practice with a selection here....it's painful to see and even more painful to call you on it.
Some people miss the mark because their faith is in their theology. The Pharisees were the theologians during Jesus' ministry in the flesh, and their theology was so far off that they condemned the Lord of Glory. We aren't saved by theology but by faith in Jesus Christ, faith simple enough for a child to receive Him. How many seminary trained pastors have fallen away, burnt out, denied the faith, turned to become reprobate, etc. in just the last few decades?

Lack of knowledge can kill you, but knowledge doesn't save you.
Jesus saves. (As a kid I laughed at all the barn roofs in Pennsylvania that had "Jesus Saves" painted in gigantic letter on them, but that's the most basic truth of scripture. )

Jesus said I don't. See the problem? You believe the opposite of what Jesus said, you believe your teachers, and now you don't want to hear the truth; you would rather choose teachers that tell you what you want to hear. Okay. But when you grow a little more, keep your mind open. I'll pray against those demons clogging your ears.

I must have missed something...I thought you both were on the same page, the flesh decreasing, but Spirit increasing.

The sister believes she is sinless, already reached perfection and is hagios.
No, we are not on the same page Scott
