No, I interpret it in the light of its original audience. You are the crazy one here that thinks women cannot even speak in a building due to what Paul wrote. Nonsense.
Paul made it very clear: "As in all the churches of the saints, the women should keep silence in the churches ... If there is anything they desire to know, let them ask their husbands at home." (1 Corinthians 14:33-35 RSV). I doubt you've ever walked up to a woman in a church, who is talking, and asked her to be silent.

There is nothing to interpret. It is very clear: "As in all the churches of the saints, the women should keep silence in the churches ... If there is anything they desire to know, let them ask their husbands at home." 1 Corinthians 14:33-35 RSV

Right because that isn't what Paul is talking about.

Yes, and no reasonable person reading that interprets that as they cannot even have a conversation in a church building.

I would think Paul's letters are authentic letters written by Paul.
guess thats what most people think, huh Bob
fwiw idk that what i said earlier is true for sure by any means ok, the impression only came about quite recently tbh, and i never intended to tell anyone that, except maybe amadeus, someday, if it came up
It isn't that the Bible is wrong. The men who decided on the Bible's canon included letters by Paul. Paul had great wisdom and we can learn a lot from him. I think it is a mistake, though, to think Paul was perfect.
idt the wolves who decided what was canon or not had much of a clue tbh Bob, especially where Paul was concerned. Might sound sacreligious, dunno

but i have some evidence that the letters were written in code to evade Roman scrutiny, and i doubt the admins after the council of nicea were the One Who chose what was canon anyway, let alone their ability to discern, broadly speaking. To hear, i mean

No, my definition of heresy is those who go against Scripture. Seeing as how you deny parts of Scripture, outright, that makes you a heretic.
First you say you're okay with women talking in churches. Now you're back to it's not okay, because scripture prohibits it.

But that's exactly what Paul said - if they have a question, wait till they get home and ask their husbands. Why can't they ask their husbands questions in churches?

The letters from Paul do say they are from Paul, so if they aren't, the Bible is lying. One thing I take on faith is that the Bible doesn't lie.

well then they would not be keeping silent right

well to be fair, "As in all the churches of the saints“ is usually put with the previous v, but a curious phrase that is there, huh?

I think it's curious in that Paul seems to have lost his temper in these verses.

A little joke that is no joke when it comes down to it... but who understands that?
Who is God's wife?
Who is the wife/bride of Christ?
Who that is dead would like to Live?
How many dead, do not know that they are dead?

I am only asking questions.
Who knows all of the answers?
Many, it seems, do not even know what the questions are!
oh, and the real kicker she gave some to adam, who was there with her (alla sudden), to eat
