Ones personal experience does not invalidate the truth in scripture to deny self and obey the Lord . To deny sin, the flesh , works and the devil and live righteously in thought and in deed . Shall we continue in sin that grace might abound ? May it never be. We who are dead to sin are to live for Christ and not the passions / desires of the flesh that have been crucified with Christ .Why can you not answer the question? I will assume you do not know the answer. At least that is better than responding it is baloney. It would do you good to learn of its validity, it is central to Paul's main message
Of course believers are to live by the Spirit/follow after him, bear fruit and not the desires of the flesh. But no one rigidly without deviation always adheres to that, as you really should know
The verses refer to a new Christian. Paul states:No, but many are called but few are chosen.
I'm afraid it doesn't help. As you don't have the courage to say whether Paul kept repeating you cannot be righteous by obeying the law, was because of the moral law/ten commandments I cannot see you as an authority on scripture, for that is something you really should knowOnes personal experience does not invalidate the truth in scripture to deny self and obey the Lord . Thank you for confirming you cannot answer the question. Many come onto these websites believing they know far more than they do. That's why they are here. Some do have much knowledge(I'm not speaking of myself). But the majority only think they doObeying Christ is not obeying the law .
Any more fallacious arguments?

You can easily tell the people who lack the most discernment. They just quote the letter endlessly. Anyone can do thatMatthew 22:36-40
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Matthew 7:21
Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven”
John 14:15
“If you love Me, keep My commandments
You can tell people that lack spiritual discernment they defend sin and not Gods Holiness or His commands in His word. Obedience is a bad word . Denying self is an after thought . Pleasing God is an empty saying .You can easily tell the people who lack the most discernment. They just quote the letter endlessly. Anyone can do that
And so out come the lies, I will assume it is because you cannot answer the question asked of you. I see you are not concerned at breaking God's moral law, I would have a severe conscience at doing that. I am not surprised you do notYou can tell people that lack spiritual discernment they defend sin and not Gods Holiness or His commands in His word. Obedience is a bad word . We covered this...this is not the measure of God's salvation, you said it yourself--it is instantaneous. But, no, that is rather the measure of one's own belief. Which is even true of those who accuse people who are actually fully saved, looking at sins as the world does rather than according to God's timing which is marked by Christ the End of sins. The verses refer to a new Christian. Paul states:
But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. 18 You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness. Rom6:17&18
God will accept you steeped in sin under a righteousness of faith in Christ. You are then justified/righteous in God’s sight. But then, change must come, you cannot remain as you are. You have to cross over from being a slave of sin to a slave of righteousness, leading to holiness, but it takes time. You seek justification of your new found faith, not by seeking to obey the law/strive to defeat the sin, but by faith in Christ, you trust him to get you to where you need to be. You are seeking a justification in this regard of your new found faith. The changeover from one state to the other is not instantaneous, it takes time.
A man accepts Christ as his saviour steeped in sin, God accepts him as he is, but now change must come. He has many sins that bind him, he is a drunk, thief, blasphemer, and serial adulterer. The blaspheming stops, as does the stealing, and adultery, but drinking is not so easy. He has been its slave for years. He goes to church one night his breath smelling of alcohol and he heartily joins in the service, praising God he is saved because Jesus died for him. What may some believe, who did not understand the message? If this man is saved Christ must promote sin, for here he is joining in fellowship with us and his breath smells of alcohol.
However, the man hates the fact he still drinks, for he has been born again, but he is entitled to rejoice in the fact he is saved by faith despite his imperfections, otherwise he must go around in sackcloth and ashes until he is as pure as the driven snow.
Immediatley after Paul asks the question: ‘Does Christ promote sin’ he answers it: ‘’Absolutely not If I rebuild what I destroyed, then I really would be a lawbreaker.’’ What has Paul strove so hard to destroy? Righteousness of obeying the law. Therefore, if he sought to defeat the sin in order to be justified before God, he would fail and really prove he was just a lawbreaker
I’m breaking Gods law how is that ?And so out come the lies, I will assume it is because you cannot answer the question asked of you. I see you are not concerned at breaking God's moral law, I would have a severe conscience at doing that. I am not surprised you do not
We have been over this. Paul spoke to 'the church of God' and spoke of their sin. What I posted to you is accurate, it is Paul's message. As for accusations, a lot of them have been made, I agree with you. But we must confront those who do not practice what they preach, that is biblicalWe covered this...this is not the measure of God's salvation, you said it yourself--it is instantaneous. ''they defend sin and not Gods Holiness or His commands in His word. Obedience is a bad word . Denying self is an after thought .''I’m breaking Gods law how is that ?
And how did I lie ?
Your crystal ball is deceiving you it appears lol .
So then you are referring to hypocrites rather than the terms or timing of salvation? If so, yes, these are worse than wolves. We have been over this. Do you not agree a person is placed in a saved state the moment they accept Christ as their saviour? And Paul tells us, they can be made alive in Christ even when they are dead in transgression/sin. To me that is all very plain, but if you disagree let us leave it there, rather than go round and round in circlesSo then you are referring to hypocrites rather than the terms or timing of salvation? Then please ignore me since you can’t defend your beliefs with scripture. All I’m reading from you is your opinions , philosophical arguments with no scripture. I make my points with scripture as a reference and my points from scripture. I’m not reading my ideas into them but letting the verse speak on their own regarding sin and obedience .''they defend sin and not Gods Holiness or His commands in His word. Obedience is a bad word . Denying self is an after thought .''
Oh you lied, because you cannot answer a very simple question asked, that is the basis of Paul's message. You think you know much more than you do know, a common trait amongst many on these websites. But this conversation is not fruitful, so I will place you on ignore also
I agree...but what has that to do with the unsaved saying they are without sin, or the saved saying it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me?Do you not agree a person is placed in a saved state the moment they accept Christ as their saviour? You must have added the above. As you know, my belief is Jesus died for all our sins, past, present and future. That does not mean we cannot commit sin, but rather the sin is paid for by Christ's sacrifice. I doubt that would hinder anyone. But stating you cannot be saved if you fail to obey Christ's commands, when you do not yourself obey them all, and bemoaning others for sin when according to the definition you give of sin, you are constantly committing sin yourself, can hinder many. I have seen that over many, many years.
The problem is many group those who are free from sin in with the hypocrites...for lack of understanding. By so doing, those who are entering in, they hinder.
