I trust Jesus when he gave Peter the keys to the kingdom to have us trust Peter to give us Acts 2:38 as the answer to "what shall we do".
Actually, I am attempting to point you back to Acts 2:38 and lead you out of modernism.Last time WE ARE DONE !
YOU ARE A ONE TRICK PONY OR ELSE IN THE HERETICAL RCC.
Obey Acts 2:38, and ignore me.Ignoring you NOW !
Actually, I am attempting to point you back to Acts 2:38 and lead you out of modernism.
You shouldn't take off so quick.
You need this.
4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.BORING!!!!
Well you guys are still at it...
I wonder if you are praying for your neighbours to come to Jesus ???
With 73 posts that is between five and ten hours of disputing over words rather than seeking to bring the good news to the lost.
Now that you found boldness to post how Paul commanded REBAPTISM in the name of Jesus, I must point out that he made it essential.
He made it equally essential as having the receive the Holy Ghost.
This is cool because as in the passage, they had to qualify for the Holy Ghost via being baptized as in most cases in Acts.
But some cases they receive them Holy Ghost first to lead them to obey water baptism in the name of Jesus.
God does what it takes to get folks to be baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of their sins.
Now that's Grace in ACTion.
I am serious about the God who rules the day, the night, the whole of the world unknown beyond any universe imaginable to us !
Maybe not to serious that I don't love humour but NOT about my Lord.
I only posted Acts 2:38.
You read it as a lie.
Is Acts 2:38 a lie?...
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
The Acts skippers think Acts 2:38 is not Grace.Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Grace was God warning Noah of impending doom, and giving him instructions on how to avoid it.
Faith is when Noah believed AND obeyed what God told him.
Grace = Acts 2:38 ..Where is your Faith to obey it?
That incident was prior to Pentecost and before the Holy ghost was poured out and before Jesus died and ascended and before......Well, it looks like God must have Failed to “ do what it takes”, when it came to the Thief on the Cross, didn’t He?
Yep, only one way....You take *ONE* verse....You run with it , you actually have found a way to turn a precious Rite into an Idol and maintain it’s the only way to get Saved...
Paul says way past Acts 2 that a person gets Saved by merely Believing his Gospel....you know, that little “ Jesus died for your sins and rise from the Grave ” thingy?
If you INSIST on “ Camping Out” somewhere with just ONE verse of Scripture, why not “ camp out” with the very same verse that God will use on Judgement Day to determine your Eternal Fate....” On That Day, when ALL MEN will be JUDGED, * ACCORDING TO MY GOSPEL* said Paul.....I know you detest going beyond the Second Chapter Of Bible Books, But you are IN LUCK with this one! It’s in the SECOND CHAPTER of Romans ( how fortunate for you! ) .....try verse 16..... remember you heard it here first when you “ boast” to God about your “ wet hair” and find out He is not concerned with it....He is more concerned about your Faith in His Son’s Blood or your Lack of it.....you may find out too late that the Great Hymn had it right all along—- it really WAS “ Nothing But The Blood.” That is the thinking behind Paul’s Gospel Found In 1Cor 15:1-4 that if Simply Believed will Save you for Eternity.....The subject of “ Wet Hair” will not even come up on that day—- A ‘Day’ That might have a dismal ending for you if you don’t abandon your “ Gospel Skipping” Ways ......
Jesus wants us to ignore Peter per Acts 2:38?
Yep, only one way....
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
By having one's sins remitted per this way, one is saved.
That incident was prior to Pentecost and before the Holy ghost was poured out and before Jesus died and ascended and before......
